ETH is a scam now?

Altcoins aren't necessarily bad to bitcoin, I don't know why people have to be so negative about altcoins. Alts are a great experimenting ground for features that could make it into bitcoin.

You are right zimmah and I agree, but ETH is not decentralized as you think and this DAO thing is suspicious as fuck.

ETH has nothing special. Smart contracts ? We have Root stock.

What is cool about ETH ? Over hyped suspicious scheme, maybe Ponzi ?

the level of ignorance in the bitcoin community when it comes to other technologies is as high as the late 2013 fabricated chart.

I didn't know an x-y axis could be ignorant. Please expand on your thesis.

I'm surprised that so many regulars entertain ETH trolls. Their amount is a good indicator of things peaking

Trolls in general are entertained w/ a red carpet around here these days. It's unbelievable to a certain extent. Upstanding or disgraceful members here love to talk the book w/ the rest and that's where we are here. We have very interesting times to come so keep tuning in, yo.

Ethereum has managed to build an entire ecosystem of Dapps in 1 year.

where ? not a single dapp out there 9 months after release just hot air and insane blockchain bloat. Eth is all talk.

anyway altcoins devs are bitcoin devs without knowing it. Or do they ?

Nobody is using it because it is useless. Ethereum is pumped by the stupidity of some 'professional' investors that hope to catch up what they have missed when bitcoin was at 2 digit price.

And the next thing they are going to do is to dump on the naive and dumbs who were stupid enough to buy that crap.
Now guess where this money will go to? 2 options: flooding back to Bitcoin, or they just simply cash out.

could.... technically... in a future far far away, by which point, bitcoin will be way too far behind the pack to be top dog.

And almost nobody is using Bitcoin (1M out of 7 billion people). Bitcoin was pumped to insane prices by MtGox/WillyBot/Karpeles and his Cat or only China with the purpose of getting its value at over 2 digits, and making themselves rich in the process by dumping on the bigger fools. They've succeeded.

I have my skepticism in regards to Ethereum, just as with every crypto project, but the level of ignorance in the bitcoin community when it comes to other technologies is as high as the late 2013 fabricated chart.

Good lad.. to you bitcoin is JUST a market. Nothing else, right? Not a network, or a protocol, or programmable 'sound money', or digital gold, or any of that shite.
If you'Re not grasping what's going on here.. I don't have time to explain it to you: "Professional Investor" -

BTW - Professional Investor?? that's the worst screen-name I've seen here yet. Again. I don't have time to explain it to you. It just is.

IF Bitcoin would adapt anything, at all. They are quite stern on refusing progress.

If a proposal is refused then it is not a progress but regress. If a proposal is neither refused nor accepted yet then there is considerable doubt whether it is really a progress. More work has to be done by the proponent.

Bitcoin Companies Aid NY State Police In Deep Web Bust <==Ha ha!

"Thanks to the help of several undisclosed Bitcoin companies – most likely exchange platforms – the Suspicious Activity Review Team was able to identify the destination for these Bitcoin amounts in the form of a deep web marketplace. An undisclosed amount of narcotics was seized during the arrest of this individual, whose name has not been officially disclosed.

This arrest comes on the heels of finding out Homeland Security is actively monitoring the Bitcoin blockchain for suspicious activity. Now that Bitcoin companies are helping law enforcement in tracing these transactions, using cryptocurrency for illegal purposes is becoming less and less appealing."

Sorry but what does that have in common with Deep Web?

Those exchanges don't operate on the Deep Web. They're regulated and they have to give information about customer accounts if properly requested by the police.

The companies are not a part of the deep web, neither are the arresting officers, nor does the article make such ridiculous claims.
What it does claim is these unnamed companies ratted out their client helped the nice officers nail Darknet Spergmonster Smiley
