dafuq ETH 132m volume Probably this. They're very colose to having a closed-loop economy now: smart contracts, DAO, getting paid in ETH, etc., etc. @Elwar: You use BitWage, don't you?

yeah right.. eth cant scale either.. it has no cap on the amount of coins created.. its another pump and dump . .. they are pumping bitcoin to get people to stop buying pms .. they pulled out all the stops in attempt to stop the pms from rising ... they actually told everyone that gold will be under $1000 .. yeah right bring that shiat on .. all talk . they even have yellen out talking rate increase .. if you gonna talk the talk then walk the walk .. deutche bank says 5% is the normal interest rate .. we got a long ways to go at .25% once a year. they talk that to cover the banks smashing pms. in my books it is called desperation to protect their failing "interest to infinity" debt slavery system .

or maybe the manipulators are pretending we are halving pumping . when the next president is in wh in six months i think obama manipulators should be weeded out . replace them. thats going to be one of the first things i will be thinking about .
You will already a be a millionaire in a few years just with a few bitcoins ... I have no idea what you are worried about! well.. its been two years. i think been that long . i do have a stash of bitcoins in cold storage .. i'm not as optimistic as you guys . they could have fixed the scaling thing and yet, after a year, they still haven't .

I don't understand why someone would use BitWage to get ethereums. It's not a currency, it's a single use coin (used for Ethereum apps). I use BitWage because bitcoin is my main currency which I can use for spending.

For the same reason you use BitWage -- because they hate filthy fiat and believe in ETH. Because if they get paid in Ether, store their wealth in Ether, and DAO companies accept Ether as a form of payment, that's a closed-loop economy right there

No, you can do what Elmer does: Sell it in the street for filthy fiat & make money. And convince your landlord to take ETH instead of government scrip. Mass acceptance doesn't happen all by itself, we need to make it happen. Why would stores start accepting ETH if no one is willing to spend it? It's also not yet near any kind of store of wealth.. and supply is not fixed.. so it's likely to be a poor store of wealth.
If people use it as a store of wealth, it's a store of wealth. Also a great investment vehicle, USD price went up by ~1,000% (one thousand percent) in 2016 alone. Pretty good compared to BTC, no? Fixed supply is neither here nor there, that's BTCeanie thinking, totally early 90s. BTCeanies supply is limited, as is BTCBTCQ coins, as is 100s of other dead coins. How's that value doing?

How's that value doing?
If it wasn't value doing you won't be writing bs in bitcoin thread promoting eth bs. Not promoting ETH, just answering why people may want to get paid in ETH, and clearing up the mechanics of mass adoption. I understand you feeling bitter about ETH outperforming bitcoin, but that's what happens to a disruptive technology when it fails to evolve for 7 years. It stops disrupting and becomes lame, like PalmPilots Why not try improving bitcoin, instead of just being surly?

Good morning Bitcoinland. I see that yesterday's mini-beartrap has already snapped shut and we're back over $540. Congrats to those who bought at $520 or less.

If you're answering questions without being asked, that's called promotion.

I don't understand all this rivalry between Bitcoin and Ethereum. They serve different purposes.
It's like arguing which is better, pie or ice cream. Some people like both.
Now if you want to compare Bitcoin and Ethereum to fiat currencies, that's a different matter.
That's like comparing pie and ice cream with a steaming pile of shit.
