Bitcoin holders/The Press/The Chinese Gov't/ well hell everyone would just 'lose their frigging minds' at that point imho......FUD/FOMO/Regulate BTC/Unregulate BTC much noise/lamenting/boasting etc etc It would be 'quite' interesting indeed..toss in Seg Witness hitting/the block halving/ethereum/lisk into this mix and a big spike in BTC transactions and THEN we'd have a party

At least btcs are backed by energy and other mining costs.
That's like saying gold is backed by the effort (energy, work) needed to find and dig it out of the ground. The minimum cost of production is an indirect guarantee for the price of a given commodity. This is not only related to scarcity, even if it accounts for scarcity. Aluminum is not scarce, actually it's very abundant, however in its native form it requires a lot of electrical energy before it gets converted into metallic aluminum. Thus the commodity price reflects all this energy spent. Assuming market players are rational (nobody wants to produce something for X and sell at X minus Y%) you can't go much lower than that. PMs and ordinary metals are kind of exchangeable concentrated energy storage "tokens", in that sense. BTC is similar because it too requires energy and associated mining costs. In any case this is definitely more legitimate value than printing money out of thin air.

... In any case this is definitely more legitimate value than printing money out of thin air.
4. Why would Chinese commies not want to sell beetcoin tokens, made out of thin air and surplus electricity, into IRL American $$$?
It's not like "IRL American $$$" don't come into existence from ...thin air. Post-gold-standard $$$ are a paper scam. At least btcs are backed by energy and other mining costs. You don't understand the meaning of the word "backed," as it applies to currency. You share this fundamental misunderstanding with many intrepid investors on these fora. Let me give you an analogy: If I went out to a nice dinner last night, and spent $200, this does not mean that, when I make #2 this morning, my poop is backed by $200 it cost me to produce it. My poop's not backed by anything. To nearly everyone, my poop is as worthless as it would have been if i ate a Mc.D's Happy Meal, or a bowl of rice. "I never thought of it that way," you may be saying to yourself right about now. "Are you telling me that I shouldn't buy poo, no matter how hard someone worked to produce it?!" "Now you're starting to understand," I'd approvingly answer. ...Alas, that's but a rose-tinted dream of mine. You'll never grasp these basic truths, ones which are obvious to most 3-yr.-olds >Aluminum is not scarce, actually it's very abundant, however in its native form it requires a lot of electrical energy before it gets converted into metallic aluminum. That's because aluminum is whatchamacall a commodity, people *need* aluminum to make shit out of, like the cans for that PBR you're nursing now. BTC isn't used to make shit. If BTCeanies suddenly become twice as expensive to make, people won't pay you double for your extremely valuable Princess Di BTCeanie, take my word for it. \/\/\/ If ignoring the facts helps you defend your delusions, stay ignorant. Without your likes, making money would be much more difficult \/\/\/

Nobody likes getting robbed, trollfag. Aren't you the guy that's so butt-ravaged that Bitcoin is doing so well lately? I've stopped reading your posts about 50 pages back.So what is the source of your ass pain from bitcoins recent explosion? You sold all your bitcoins recently? You being paid off from jew bankers or ETH shills? You getting paid .05 cents for each shill post? Does it go to your paypal or bitcoin address? I'm loving all these shill posts on multiple websites, your tears are delicious. responds to his post. Something doesn't quite add up.

The thing is that Bitcoin is comparable with Moses tablets! ...
- Can't be changed;
Was hard-forked already, will be soft or hard-forked again in the near future. Easy as pie. - Set in stone;
Bitcoin isn't tangible, forget stone. Just a bunch of bleeps and bloops, 1s and 0s, memory/gate states in a bunch of Chinese 'puter gear: it's literally *nothing*. - It can be almost physical but it can also be not;
- And it spreads like the "Word of God".
You eat a lot of acid, Miller, back in the hippie days?

Bitcoin isn't tangible
Yes it is... its information! .. I can print it on paper, on metal copper sheets so I can have them in 2000+ years to my ancestors, I can write it on a CD, store it on a USB / SSD, and from what I know you can also print it on a coin... And all of those can be multiplied with the same copy of the same thing in case something happens. Armageddon?

Do you prefer American confetti paper? Sure. Use that worthless government scrip every day. Granted, BTC fandom is more fun, but ignore the lel, and it's USD all the way

You can also print "I got Assburgers" on a piece of paper or stamp it on a coin, and, while your retardation is almost palpable, it, nevertheless, isn't tangible. The paper is, your Assburgers aren't. You must learn the words you use before using them, starting with the word "tangible."

Backed by the ability of a nation to collect taxes, or backed by an encrypted decentralised ledger - take your pick
