CNBC Posted this as well The price of bitcoin has plunged almost 25 percent since hitting a two-and-a-half year high last week amid problems at a key exchange and diminishing fears of a Brexit. Bitcoin was trading around $590.53 by midday London time, a fall of around 23.8 percent from the $774.94 close on June 17, which marked the highest close since November 22, 2013. The initial rise in the price of the cryptocurrency came last week as traders prepared for a process known as "halving" – where the rewards offered to bitcoin miners fall, thus tightening the supply of the digital currency. With anticipation of less supply, prices spiked. Source: http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/23/bitcoin-plunges-nearly-25-percent-in-6-days-heres-3-reasons-why-brexit-china-yuan-halving.html

It is not too bad actually, the price is holding close to 600. We were at 400 before the pump and we have the halving yet to come.

Also, can I crash at your place for a few?
Don't you have a foundation to turn to in times like these?

I think 540-555 might have been the bottom, the only thing bothering me is the fact that BFX longs are still so high...
That bothers me more than anything else. We're back at $42MM longs and the price crashing to $570. Longs going up as price goes down If they're squeezed it can turn bloody really fast

One thing TA kids got right - IRL events are as relevant to bitcoin as plotlines are to 80s pornos. @DaRude, never let it be said that the True Believers don't double down.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Looks like we're right back in the $580 range where we spent a week 2 weeks ago. Time for me to buy more. Last chance under $600?

Maybe all this dumpage was a sign from the robo whales to the rest of the world to stay away from their twisted little playground. there's no way they'd want REAL money to arrive. they'd get swallowed up and spat out by the genuine pros.

My impression is that this was sort of a Chinese exchange led rinse cycle. They pump it when they can and dump it when the real money shows up.

It will go up, don't worry, The West just did what China did.. they had almost no objections. But ... Do you know the tale of the tall man, that pulled the tree down for the short man for a specific fee?... so he can pick up the fruits as well? That is exactly what happened here with them exchanges in China. They all wanted a piece of the pie... them communist party leeches! And they said... it is too expensive!! Bring it down!
