The roughly 7 year economic cycle of boom and bust has been occurring for the past forty odd years and we are overdue a recession; so you can understand why people with a bit more knowledge of economics than yourself are predicting some sort of downturn in the near future.

Wow, really??  Please keep it to yourselves then.  In my country we are still in the 2008 recession and expected to remain so for several more years yet.  We never recovered.  In my region we have more than 50% unemployed.  The last thing we need is to be hit by more recession waves...  It's true I know very little about economics but clearly southern Europe doesn't follow the standard model.

Excellent analogy with Hiroshima BTW, I'll make a note of that one!

Since Nixon planted the seeds of destruction by stomping down the gold standard, then. About the same time u.s. median wage-earner income stopped growing, and the number of billionaires skyrocketed.  I.e. since Americans became slaves.

In China, if you make bearish statements about the markets, you may be imprisoned.  So far, Europe and the Americas still permit individuals to speak freely about markets, as long as they are ignorant ( no inside information ), but they are cut off from mass media if they are "off-message".

Decentralization and cryptographic privacy are the technological counter trend force.  Recruit everyone.  Refuse to transact on monitored channels when you have leverage to control the channel.

In a zone with 50% unemployment people should start their own under the table economy. I mean... with those numbers it would be an easy political choice to have 0% taxes and sh!t just for people to be incentivized.


And when you count those years... from 7 to 7... is not exactly like that. Because for example in the real world with fake stuff people are not like in bitcoin... when they cheer if it goes down.. and cheer as well when it goes up. Bitcoin is just madness when it comes to that... Because for example I make more bitcoin when it goes down than when it goes up. But... in the real word.... fake stuff going down is creating uncertainty!

Meaning that in those situations people can't expect on the long term to just hold and get their return investment back. So... usually people cut their loses and the big guys get their way... while the little guys suffer more.

And the thing with market collapses is that the whales of the real world fake money schemes... is that they hold most of the time during the low points of the charts. Meaning that is no to almost no movement in profits for anyone. And when you count those 7 to 7.... it doesn't really need to be like that... for example in 1988 there was something that collapsed the soviet union in the next year... and most of the countries left in 1989 and 1990. But have no idea what was in 1995... I mean I didn't do research or didn't hear... but it sure was something... because it always is something! Dunno... cosmic joke?

*Edit: I actually though to make this for the shares of the company... and not go public anymore... but actually give employees a platform where they can exchange and trade shares with a quarterly sponsorship to all the shareholders. Basically the company just throws money away... takes a quarterly dump.. and shareholders profit.

i was there when the project first started as "mastercoin" ( they stole my "abstract coin" idea really.... but anyway... )

the project has a rocky history...  but after the rebranding as  "OMNI" shit is happening! and i've got front row seats!
