We're on our way to salvation salivation. amirite? Hey Oda - long time no see... Love to know what your crystal ball says. Hey again I've been around, just not posting much. Not much insights I can offer at the moment, I guess I'm mostly on board with the popular sentiment in here. The current trend looks well established and pretty robust -- and it's not like there hasn't been sufficient testing it to the downside. The one sentiment I don't know about is the idea of another 'super bubble' anytime soon, or: at any time during the coming years. Sure, it could happen, but I also see the market as a lot more mature now than when I first saw it (and then it was already a lot more mature than during the 2011 rise), so while I can still the possibility of another parabolic rally, I'm personally not placing my money on it.

adamstgBit, I think you should create new poll and ask something like that: Price Dec 31th 2016 will be: 1. > 850 2. 800 3. 790 4. 780 5. 770 6. 760 .. .. A lot of us believe that Adam should update the poll, but he is having issues with getting back into his account, after it was hacked (apparently) in mid September. Edit: Oh... now it looks like the poll has been removed, or is it just me? Oh this is a bad situation. He can contact theymos or Cyrus and I'm sure they will give back his forum account. I have been in contact with Adam about this situation partly because I had gone through a similar hack attack of my account at about the same time that Adam did. You are correct that you can get your account back, as long as you are able to go through various efforts in order to prove your identity - and maybe even if you may not meet some of the account recovery requirements. It seems that Adam had made some preliminary attempts to get his account back, but he ran across various difficulties proving his identity. He asserts that he may be having additional difficulties because of some of the shit stirring and trolling that he had admittedly been doing - but really, I doubt that he was so obnoxious and/or repugnant that the admins would not reinstate his account. I think that he just needs to be persistent and to go through the efforts (and hoop jumping if needed) in order to get his account reinstated (and currently (so far), he does not seem to be willing to go through such efforts). By the way, in early November, I had another issue of losing access to my account (because stupidly I used the secret phrase feature in order to attempt to access my account when I could not remember my password). It took nearly a month for me to regain access to my account- so I understand that sometimes it can take quite a while to get the attention of bitcointalk administrators, and only a few of them have sufficient access authority to reinstate accounts.

It seems fairly obvious to me that Adam's been locked out because he's a shameless big-blocker. I miss the days when there was more than one technology opinion allowed on this discussed forum :/

He's been around here occasionally with his sock but it's been a week or so since he showed up. That's his business but I, for one, wouldn't have an epic thread here that I'd be willing to lose sight of forever. I know it's garbage to go from a legend to a schmuck account but one needs to prance around in his big daddy lounge w/ all of his minions like us. esp when btc is looking at taking off, or if nothing else it has exceeded expectations in the near past. Join the fun and ride the bullish fun together rather than wallow away on some obscure joke of a forum if even that. I pity his ass at this point. That said, and if you're still perusing us here, Merry Christmas Adam. Same goes for all my fellas around here. And bitchez.

Agree it's generally bullish, but also 'gently' so right now.... A steady rise is not bad thing, but sharp moves in Bitcoin have been its history so it feels odd. Everyone's been expecting a run, but that does not a run make of course - and this has not turned out to be the repeat of autumn 2013 most hoped for. Maybe waiting for the whole consensus thing to play out is what is happening. At one point it looked like it might stall everything, not so now, but we still don't quite know what Bitcoin is going to look like and how 'corporate' it will be when SW/LN (or whatever happens) comes. Is that when the fireworks start?

I would love to see him back, and he ought to be (preferably off the leash and speaking freely of course). I left to go to the other thread too for a while, but it's a shadow of what this thread was. It's still not like it was here either without Adam and the likes of chartbuddy, though - so it's a shame. Anyway, I wish him and all the Wall Observer Massive (past and present) a Merry Christmas too.

After weeks not watching this thread and checking back for some fun and popcorn excuse after the $800 breach, I have to say I'm disappointed! Where are the conspiracy theorists, at the very least?
Merry Christmas to all you Europeans on your winter break, by the way. And to the rest of Swelter World, have a cold drink and don't mind the deflation.

Come on man... Hanlon's razor. There are plenty of very vocal Legendary big blockers who post here quite frequently. New threads in Bitcoin Discussion are created and bumped by them daily. If it's "fairly obvious", show us some evidence at least.

That's the catch with censorship. If big blockers are censored, explain how this guy gets a free pass to start new threads daily and bump old ones on a regular basis. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=196289

Well, that's an interesting example, but speaking only from my own experience with mods here I don't feel it's a place for open discussion any more, certainly compared to other bitcoin forums. This seems more like the volunteer division of the blockstream marketing department. I'm not claiming this as conclusive, only that I've seen enough for me to disengage.

Because he is a lunatic perhaps? Censorship can be subtle. Interesting talk by Andreas Antonopoulos about living in a bubble and it's consequences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=810aKcfM__Q

What I found here or heard is that if you lose your account the only way to get it back is to "prove' such with your btc address on the main page and a private key for such (any paper wallet with such even empty will do) then you can 'prove' it by sending the private msg that bitcoin has (forget the name) using your private key to sign such did it once for a usb drive it was a pain of a way to make a sale I see adam has NO btc address on a profile..thus screwed ..thus his access is never coming back it seems...had friends with accounts here hacked..without above the mods won't even answer you email so if you have not done so..make a blank paper btc wallet with private keys it can even be frigging never have btc in it..put it on your profile (for tips hah) and then worse comes to worse and hacked you can get your account back..pain thou it may be anyway what I've heard from more then one guy who had his account info lost in 2014 when this site was 'breached'

So, at least register a key like that. edit: found it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0I lied actually. They seem to just be quoting previous message, not signing it...that seems to weaken the chain, but maybe ok.
