The graph was looking good, TA is pretty useless once again. Fundamentals also good since BUchina is dead after the bug disaster. This selloff makes no sense, it is either a whale taking profits or random panic selling.

So how far will the price keep wilting?  This slow decline feels worse than the rapid New Year plummet!

Nah I believe it is more of another coordinated attack and domino effect.
Ver and his minions where making crazy noises and chanting over each platform how much BUshit were progressing and so on.
Then we saw a massive increase of 3-4 alts and Bitcoin tried to keep it's range. Now we start slowly losing a bit in price because some people may become weak hands now and give up.Another reason is that lot of shills and shitcoin pumpers are spreading their bs of how much market dominance BTC has allegedly lost. We all know it's just a snapshot in time and happened before.Imo no big deal.
Calm as f*** here!

EDIT: another reason could be that Bitcoin wasn't tanking as much as expected after the ETF rejection. And now some big fish try to figure out some other ways to push down BTC's price.Alts may be a tool for that. We know how that game works. At least the ones who are here for a few years now.

There is no civil war. There are some government actors planted in bitcoin ecosystem that do everything they can to generate noise and prevent accelerated bitcoin adoption.

Well, even if that is the case they've stoked enough 'real' people to get frenzied enough to get behind them.

Those "real" people all have vested interest in altcoins that count on bitcoin crash to cause their sh!tcoins appreciate.
Civil war as in the blockchain and bitcoin unlimited, war between these two will not end well.
The only casualty will be the ones whom are using them being the bitcoin users.

Altcoins appreciating while the price of bitcoin is usual and an anomaly on it's own to be looked into to find out why it's happening all the sudden.

edit: civil war needs to stop.
I would love for the civil war to stop, but so far it seems like things keep escalating.... Sad

There is no civil war. There are some government actors planted in bitcoin ecosystem that do everything they can to generate noise and prevent accelerated bitcoin adoption.

The bad actors have created the fake civil war on purpose. It's about 20% real.

Bitcoin XT and Mike Hearn, Bitcoin Classic and Gavin, Bitcoin Unlimited and Roger Ver.

Three attempts to take-over development with a woefully inadequate support from programmers. Each attack has failed on technical measures before even fooling enough people. Each time they spun up fake nodes on VPS's to mimic support.

The three characters above were once great assets to the Bitcoin community but have become compromised, blackmail, payments or who knows what - but they are being led around by the balls, or truly idiots.

First they ignore you.  <--- all other crypto/altcoins are still here
Then they laugh at you.
Then they fight you.  <--- Bitcoin is here now
Then you win.

People don't realize that 'they' (the powers that be) are now circling Bitcoin like sharks, trying desperately in whatever ways they can to slow it down, set it back, or kill it forever.

'They' have run out of physical/technical ways to try and hinder or bring down Bitcoin (e.g., 0day bugs/hacks, DDoS, MtGox insolvency, exchanges hacked and/or going offline, FUD/negative news, etc.)

Now they only have one real play left: Social Engineering. They load up the forums with shills/trolls, trying to split the community and sway public opinion against Bitcoin in general.  They prop up and promote other alt coins now as "Bitcoin 2.0" and "way better". They string along and stall a Bitcoin ETF ruling for years, only to deny it at the 11th hour and laugh. They have even managed to gaslight former prominent Bitcoin proponents like Gavin, Roger, Mike, and big Chinese miners with false information or outright bullshit (Craig Wright is Satoshi, anyone?).

Once this line of BS fails, and it will, the next wave will be direct head-to-head Bitcoin competition: Gov't sponsored/endorsed Bankcoins, and eventually Bankcoin ETFs.

Believe it. You read it here first.

Funny thing is that ppl seem to want to keep a civilized debate going while "they" spread FUD and discord and plant demolition charges in the basement.

I vote for holy war, with the battle cry of 1MBFOREVAH!

The Anti- Bitcoin Unlimited FUD and labeling of Roger Ver as a "government agent / boogeyman" continues to reek of sad, sad desperation.

Yes, people are becoming aware of how Blockstream Kore took money from Goldman & Sachs and are now purposely restricting the growth of Bitcoin.

That is why BU will win, beeotch

true.dat Smiley

It's nice to know somebody gets it.

I think the silent, intelligent army of characters of substance and skill will triumph.

They have the mental capital and due to that, the financial capital. Most importantly the brainpower is on the right side, in the end that will lead. The system is too complex to be run by pretend programmers and charlatans dumb enough to take money to shit on promising technology and essentially lie and woof all day long. Who wants to do that? The incompetent and the evil, and most likely the blackmailed.

r/bitcoin has turned into like a reflection of r/politics.

Just replace the anti-Trump / Russia hatred with anti - BU hatred, vitriol, etc.

So so sad.

i suck the cock for the food

BU doesn't have the ability to manage software as complex as Bitcoin today.. If that isn't obvious now than nothing will change your mind.. Which means it is not facts you care about but you are trollololing.

Yeah, BU is in real deep shit with constantly increasing hashrate and the pathetic smear attempts from Core's smear campaign falling flat on their face  Roll Eyes

Kore is only digging a deeper hole for themselves. Every day. I couldn't ask for anything better.

As the price drops during this "civil war" and altcoins continue to explode, well, those are only more money making opportunities before BU eventually wins the fight and takes back what is rightfully ours (on-chain scaling),

And if BU fails, then altcoins overtake Bitcoin anyway, so either way I'm covered.

As for you morons who can't even handle these basic truths, well, I don't know what to say. Enjoy having your head in the sand?

That reads like bilge to me. It seems to imply that Core = Bitcoin forever which even Core themselves probably wouldn't endorse.

If 95% of people genuinely adored BU then it would become Bitcoin without question. Of course they don't so it'll never happen but it's just a matter of percentages and the contention factor.

Bitcoin's value comes not from the software version but the history, trust and money shoved in there. That supersedes any code if it's mutually agreed upon to transfer it to a different version. The present code doesn't have a great deal of similarity with the very first version.
