You're welcome it's my pleasure.

Though I doubt anyone can really enter the btc world thinking it's "cheap coins" right now.
The price is completely crazy compared to its history ^^

Well, it is the bitcoin history. It is the same history we've got throughout all those 9 years. Get used to it!

Call me crazy or dumb...but I am starting to have a desire of shorting BTC at these levels...

Short that ETH shitcoin instead..

I'm not a big fan of that coin either but shorting this now is not a good advise imo! Not yet!
Ethereum is backed by lots of big guys from different industries it seems. They all are licking Vitaliks butt as I often see and hear on all those blockchain conferences.
So either wait for the trend reversal and try your luck then, with shorting that crap. Or do nothing and just simply ignore it and only focus on our crown, Bitcoin!
Nobody knows where this shitcoin bubble will go or how long it will last. Crazy times we are in right now.So act cautiously!

I'm of the belief that the Altlandia bubble is just another method for the powers that be to distract the Average Joe populous away from Bitcoin. Just another form of Social Engineering for them like the BU FUD debacle (because that's all they have left to work with). Bitcoin scares the shit of of them, they know that Bitcoin truly has merit and value, and that they can't control it like they can with other cryptocurrencies that are not founded on the same principles and can be easily co-opted.

Good advice, better short ETH, LTC. People who said that this price is good enough to dump are shortsighted.
Bitcoin will reach $2500 this year with ease. Scaling solution is coming, selling BTC now before it will go live is plain stupidity.
Remember what happened to Litecoin after SegWit was activated - with bitcoin it will be even better show.

I favour the more elegant explanation. People can make more dollars with alts. They're on pumpier exchanges that would literally pump a mound of dead puppies if you could tokenise them.

Alts aren't going away and a few will decouple from Bitcoin's behaviour completely.

That is more than obvious now. Most pumped altcoins are most centralized and with unlimted supply. Altcoin bubble will burst at the moment bitcoin price appreciation accelerates even further so that altcoin pumpers can't keep pace with it.

Bitcoin and it's clones are fine ~ it's the "tokens" that are the devils' invention. Cool

I shouldn't be complaining with the price rising as quickly as it has, but I've got a bad feeling this bubble is gonna pop.

Not sure what the fundamentals are that got us from $1700->$2000 so quickly.

I wished it would pop so that I can buy.

We have not had any kind of meaningful correction since $890... but it seems that we are going up and we continue have pretty strong buying pressures and also quite a gradual upswing that seems to allow support to remain...

So maybe we will have some resistance in the $2300 to $2500 range, but if we get past that, then the next resistance is likely in the $3k to $5k territory.. so yeah.. seems like a bubble.. but at the same time we continue to have pretty decent buying pressure and support and upwards movement and a meaningful correction does not really seem in the likely cards, at least not at the moment.

In other words, bitcoin may be in "punishment mode" and not going to give shorters, bears, sellers or fence sitters to get their coins back that they sold in the $1k to $1500 range...

sorry for your loss.

According to Finabocci, next resistance line is likely around 2100 USD. It should be tested from both under and above several times (like the 1750 before). I agree we have entered bubble (and like many others I got punished for being sceptical for too long), but bubbles dont last two weeks. We are in for longer ride.

I am still sceptical that we will reach anywhere close to 10k this time around before reaching local top and substantial (months long) correction. 4-5k seems realistic in the medium term.

I think the most relevant Fibonacci extensions are drawn from the previous ATH to $152 low:

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, another ATH, another $100 correction, another bounce back... currently $2009USD (Bitcoinaverage).

Gotta love these regular corrections as we go. They're not deep enough to be buying opportunities but just deep enough to let us know it's not a bubble.

Go Bitcoin go.

Yes, I wonder what things would look like without that joint. If I were the owner I'd be a quivering wreck of nervousness by now. Vast amounts are sloshing around on there.

Small dips followed by quick recovery = healthy growth. Don't sell your coins cheaply (because they are still dirt cheap). HoDL them and let the roller coaster roll.

Good things come to those who wait HoDL!
