When everyone is expecting the market to repeat past experience, it will shock everyone by not repeating it.

That's the way of it.

We clearly have had different experiences of marriage.
How old are you and how old is your wife?

This is relevant, no need to look for excuses to get defensive.

Not defensive. Just aware this is very off-topic and supposed to be getting something constructive done. Unwilling to open a can of worms that - like bitcoin - is likely to be pre-settled in a person's mind rather than liable to be changed by discussion (or, as it happens, evidence - there's plenty of academic studies on it).
Since you asked, I'm in my late 30s and she's 3.5 years older than me.
Ok so she's too old to realistically leave and find someone else, and you likely got married before divorce court became what it is now. That's why you are happy to defend marriage. Your wife is TOO OLD for you to worry about her splitting with your shit.

For the rest of us, it doesn't take an academic study to figure out that getting married today is about the most self-destructive thing a man could do.

Whether marriage is destructive or uplifting will be greatly influenced by the philosophy the husband and the wife use to ground their lives.

If the foundation is unsound in either partner the structure is more likely to fail. I present the following thread as recommended reading.

Health and Religion

It depends on incentives. When women can leave and take half your shit for no better reason than they feel like it, then some women are going to do that. As it turns out, a lot of them.

Women like getting married, but they don't like BEING married. Who knew.

+1, have an upvote for what every married man will eventually find out the hard way. Usually when their marriage reaches the 7-year mark, or when their children reach 7-10 yrs of age. Whichever comes first.

Until then it's all blissful ignorance and denial, lol.

Ok, NOW it is beginning to get parabolic as expected... and I would like it would  lasts some more time doing it without a violent dump afterwards, so.... can you guys with big stashes start selling slowly from now on? (You know who you are, the guys with 100+BTC).

I mean, just a little part of your stash every time. Please, don't sell so much as the price changes the trend (so you can keep on selling in the future), but enough to make this a long peacefull jorney of profits for the rest of us poor fishes.

Thanks!

Down to USD 2640 on Bitstamp.

Kind of glad ... would be good to hover a few days around that mark so we don't really have an artificial pump on our hands ;-)

We'd go down faster if the pump just goes up like it did in 2013, and probably not even where we are now. Better to have at least semi-realistic artificial growth than a pump that lasts a few minutes.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had yet another ATH after that last $80 correction down to $2645 (Stamp) and now we're experiencing another $130 correction (so far).

It's already halfway back up... currently $2685USD (Bitcoinaverage).

Now that we've proven once again that we're not in a bubble, we can start moving up to a new ATH.

Go Bitcoin go.

Most men don't know how to run their shit. Men put women up on pedestals and cede their power to them. It is not natural for a woman to handle that kind of power, and to lead in a relationship. She'll end up becoming unhappy and bitter, and eventually go fuck an alpha male who does know how to run his shit.

It's easy to blame women for the state of marriage. It's a lot harder to be a real man and take responsibility for the marriage.

Totally agree. And for that we need some people to keep selling on the way up. If nobody does this could end up in a blood bath for everyone.
