To all those using Ledger Nano S: In settings you can now choose which blockchain to use.
that's good to hear. My impression was that they had been ambiguous about what they were going to do regarding the split, so I'd placed my coin into coinfloor and kraken to be sure.

I grabbed a screen cap of this before it disappeared. Somebody must be able to log in to do that. I guess they must also be pretty certain that nobody has any BCH on Kraken yet though because that would have been an easy $1000. $1 Million each BCH? Ugh.... I guess someone is not going to eat his dick on TV.

OMG we have crashed horribly to $200 above where we were 3-4 days ago.
(come on volatile up this sons of Bitches- these Fork guys could learn a thing or two from the PBOC on how to Fud the market into a frenzy... fekin amatures)
Are we entertained?
not much, waked early for nothing... yet NO CHAIN SPLIT DETECTED. So boring... I suggest we help shitcoiners. We must make a lot txs so that give them chance to mine a block >1mb. Only that way they can split. Only that way we can use their shitnetwork to transfer their shitcoins and sell them on the exchanges if they still have some value.

There were just 17 minutes between blocks and the block was only 213kb! Unless they start spamming the blockchain, this split isn't happening for a while. At the rate of fill of the last block, it would take nearly 80 minutes to get an oversized block.
Looking at Bitcoinfees21, there just aren't any transactions happening, I understand why too, I wouldn't risk it yet.

don't let the drinking of your hatorade cocktail prevent you from appreciating that bitcoin's built-in, last word, first of its kind governance mechanism is being deployed for the first time.
it is awesome.

Can anyone explain to me and the less technically well read, how it is that https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/ suggests no split even though BCC is running blocks? I thought that they're running blocks implied a split. Is there some extra criteria that needs to be fulfilled? Really annoyed with my ignorance confusion right now

Is it ok to send segwit Bitcoin already and be able to send BCC later ? Or it is necessary to wait for first block, which might never occur?
