I was strolling on a small exchange and some BCH trades popped up at interesting prices (0.17 instead of 0.153 on Kraken), I thought, time to do some arbitraging, then it sunk in me : I can't send BCH there, that coin is broken !

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Well, segwit's here and there's no big price change yet... currently $4245UDS/$5315CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltcoinCash is also hanging tough at $648USD/$812CAD (Coinmarketcap).

So far, so good.

On the horizon is rootstock, smart contracts linked to the bitcoin chain. What is ETH going to do?

I am pretty sure rootstock still requires federation to work, even with SegWit. Am I wrong on this?

I thought there was some necessary code changes in order for this to work programatically on the current blockchain.

Had a dream last night that I woke up and saw my bitcoin price ticker up over $400,000 and rising quickly. Saw it touch $500,000 as it came "crashing" back down to the high $300k range.

With such high numbers I couldn't even think of how much money that meant I had...just that I was fucking rich. Then I woke up  Cry

Bitcoin is doing fine. Am I missing something cus Altcash volume is a fraction of what it was and the price is steadily falling? (I'm secretly happy with that)

Quite the rollercoaster:

Miners likely planned this all along to maximize their profits while mining, too bad this will eventually tear apart BCH at the seams. Halving and similar events will come along on that chain much quicker than on the BTC chain if this continues.

I just checked Coinmarketcap and they list AltcoinCash at $643USD (down 3.36%).

Considering it dipped to $170 on fork day and then rose to $750 before dropping by half again and rising to an ATH, I'd say anything over $600 is doing well.

I expected a bigger change with segwit activation but we'll have to wait and see.
