Good morning Bitcoinland.
Well, segwit's here and there's no big price change yet... currently $4245UDS/$5315CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
AltcoinCash is also hanging tough at $648USD/$812CAD (Coinmarketcap).
So far, so good.
Bitcoin is doing fine. Am I missing something cus Altcash volume is a fraction of what it was and the price is steadily falling? (I'm secretly happy with that)

Quite the rollercoaster: Miners likely planned this all along to maximize their profits while mining, too bad this will eventually tear apart BCH at the seams. Halving and similar events will come along on that chain much quicker than on the BTC chain if this continues.

I just checked Coinmarketcap and they list AltcoinCash at $643USD (down 3.36%). Considering it dipped to $170 on fork day and then rose to $750 before dropping by half again and rising to an ATH, I'd say anything over $600 is doing well. I expected a bigger change with segwit activation but we'll have to wait and see.

Well, segwit's here and there's no big price change yet...
Since we knew SegWit was going to happen for the last two weeks, we could only expect to see price changes once SegWit actually starts having an effect. Since most people are still sending legacy transactions, nothing has really changed since two weeks ago. SegWit's success will rely on people starting to use it, which they hopefully will do over the next few weeks. If they don't, it could be bearish in the short term because of people's high expectations. Don't forget that the (potentially) bearish event of SegWitx2 and the (potentially) bullish event of LN being used on mainnet are coming up.

Had a dream last night
To sleep well consider to accumulate a decent stack of gold, which by now comes quite cheap in BTC, so you won't go to bed wondering if by tomorrow all of your hodlings could vanish in the cyberspace.

Just had my bank call me asking for more information about some wire transfers to bitstamp over 3 months ago. It appears western union contacted the bank to make more inquiries. Western union starting to get nervous or the pressure is tightening...... BULLISH
It's day 5 at my show and I've had the "BTCitcoin accepted here + 10%discount" sign posted but no transactions yet. Surprisingly not as many inquiries as I had thought or holders. Still in very early adoption apparently and too complicated for most although probably magnitudes easier to understand than fiat value. Goal is 1 transaction before the show end. 10 more days.

Had a dream last night that I woke up and saw my bitcoin price ticker up over $400,000 and rising quickly. Saw it touch $500,000 as it came "crashing" back down to the high $300k range. With such high numbers I couldn't even think of how much money that meant I had...just that I was fucking rich. Then I woke up ...rich!

A person with Bitcoin might see the 10% discount sign and realize they stand to make more than that by hodling for another day. By the way, what and where is the icygreen show?

Well you can always buy with the discount and immediately buy more BTC to the tune of what you spent (or without the 10%, then you've gained some BTC in the process).
Of course Icygreen on his side is getting paid under the table so there is also a gain.

Now that segwit has been activated does anyone know if those of us with a ledger nano s need to do anything to start using the new segwit addresses? If so, how does one go about generating the addresses?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E35oMQcCLUBitfinex's CSO can't actually tell you who owns or actually runs Bitfinex. Or won't. I wonder what its endgame will eventually be and what the fallout will consist of.
