-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- Ok, so my account yefi got hacked 2017-08-19. I'm a little shocked at this as my p/w was a random 9 digit code with a special character. they're seriously slow with this type of stuff normally. there are sad little threads in the meta section that drag on for ages. i change my password and email pretty regularly. you never know when the next hack will be.

It is of course the lack of security on the site, and no reflection on you. I know how I would feel, though, having to start as a noob after so many years of posting on here. You are still a legend to those who know, don't worry! Hope you can get back your avatar soon, or ideally Theymos will verify the hack and return the account to you - which OUGHT to be possible, given your ability to prove it. There should be a way to prove their leaky security is at fault - so so many do not suffer this indignity on a site which (ironically) is all about cryptography.

Another overnight push. Loving those at the moment. Does anyone have a list of airdrop Alts that can still be claimed with my private keys? I'm not sure how many airdrops are running out there, but these are confirmed running right now: Stellar Lumens - LAST date 27th Aug https://www.stellar.org/blog/bitcoin-claim-lumens-2/Byteball - next round on 6th Sep https://byteball.org/Bitcore https://bitcore.cc/(And of course, the usual BitCH coins, if you've not already claimed them)People love these free money things Bitcore is not worth the hassle.

Bitcoin dead? abercrombie?
lol...
I ain't jittery yet..
MACD on 1hr crossed down...and RSI turned ,though we are at bottom meridian on BB on 1hr, see if it falls through the bottom and drags it down or pulls back after an overshoot,.. volume was not impressive for the drop on finex at least, is the order book that thin? (could have just been someone cashing out some Vegas money- or dumping their "Bitconnect exploit" coins lol-im kidding- perhaps a liquidated short position explains it)
Could bounce back after a few hours cycle and the MACD and RSI turn -nothing is looking too grim on the 1 day chart - MACD looks like it will double crossover... RSI doesn't look unhealthy ...yet, though 3rh 6hr 12 hr all turning bear- but I think they will turn bull as 1 day MACD double crosses over... unless of course...they don't
Technicals are technicals.. they do not rule... and nothing is set of course, but maybe just a breather
(.but weekend)

ByteBall airdrop has been reduced to 1/10 of previous amounts in the next round. Which is only 0.00625 GB / BTC Current ByteBall price is $356/GB, so 1BTC yields about $2.22

Is margin trading considered the same as if you were selling from your previous stash or is it a separate thing?
My guess is that it has to be considered a separate thing. My reasoning is this: suppose someone does the exact same trades as your friend does, but that person does NOT have an extra stash that is kept offline. In his case, it would make no sense to act as if the offline BTC were being sold (and bought back), bc he doesn't have any. So now the question becomes: does it make sense to treat the exact same trades one way for one person, and another way for another person? I would think probably not. PS I'm no accountant, and this is not tax advice, blah blah blah. PPS Hopefully I understood your question correctly. Correct me if I did not ... Yes, that's exactly what I mean. But not so sure about that just for keeping most of the stash offline it would change that for any BTC sell in the exchange it would be the older one suppossed to be sold (even if it is in some cold storage you have had for years). So if you have ie 100 BTC offline and 10 BTC in a exchange, and you sell/rebuy it 10 times (or more) in a year, you have basically sold and rebought your entire stash (short term). But... Maybe the fact that margin trading is not exactly as if you were really buying/selling BTC but just something like "betting" in one or other direction (long/short) it could be considered a separate thing from your long term stash. And if you declare that you only had that X BTC that you have on exchange so nothing older being sold..... then it will be a BIG problem to try to declare those older BTC in the future as it's basically as if they "surfaced" from nowhere. My tax advisor almost doesn't know the specifics about cryptocurrencies and I am starting to get really worried about all this. Thanks for your reply!
