Does anyone use Bitfinex much? I sold my B*CH there and tried to send a large bitcoin payment and it's not even showing up on the network yet.
The Bitfinex message says it is "queued for processing".
How long is that supposed to take?
Have you confirmed it via the confirmation email? nvm, just checked through their documentation and it said withdrawals could take 12 hours. I used to use Bitfinex as a wallet way back in the day. Guess that is not a thing anymore.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Basically sideways, down ever so slightly... currently $4570USD/$5765CAD (BitcoinAverage). Meanwhile, AltcoinCash is still slowly creeping down... to $565USD/$708CAD (Coinmarketcap). Just a boring day of consolidation after yesterday's rise. I think I need extra rich coffee. Yawn. take your profits while you can I prefer to take my profits in Bitcoin.

If BCH succeeds in killing BTC, then: 1) There will be a general crash in crypto because it will be proved that they can be killed by such attacks; and 2) There are many better coins than BCH to play with.
Nonsense. If the market moves strongly to Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin Core, then the narrative that 'Bitcoin Cash is The Real Bitcoin' will have been proven true.

I'd say we're overdue for 30% correction. But I don't condone it.
It would not surprise me.. I wouldn't even mind it tbh Me neither, only what would trigger it? Profit taking? Today one year ago Bitcoin was $580. That's 8X your money. Profit taking would not trigger, you do that carefully, not to kill the goose with the golden eggs... .

But then again I don't know what the consequences would be. What was that in January? Did the Chinese sell their Bitcoins because it was the new year? That was a ~30% correction and I was in the middle of it. If something like this happens again we have our impending doom moment.

I'm not proud to admit this, but I've done my fair share of illicit substances during my lifetime. It seems you have a line on some heretofore unknown consumable that I would love to sample ! These are some pretty freaking vivid fantasies you are having !!! Well, I recognize that I'm not looking very prescient on this so far. But there's enough bubbling in the plotline such that this may develop more as an epic rather than a short story.

I strongly recommend you check your email addresses here https://haveibeenpwned.com/ 711 million mega dump recently passwords and emails comprised . Onliner Spambot (spam list): In August 2017, a spambot by the name of Onliner Spambot was identified by security researcher Benkow moʞuƎq. The malicious software contained a server-based component located on an IP address in the Netherlands which exposed a large number of files containing personal information. In total, there were 711 million unique email addresses, many of which were also accompanied by corresponding passwords. A full write-up on what data was found is in the blog post titled Inside the Massive 711 Million Record Onliner Spambot Dump.

It's not a matter of Bitcoin(TM) brand, but who controls the toy. Would you invest in anything hijacked by the 3 stooges?

Bitcoin is whatever the bitcoin wallets accept. Which is segwit, like it or not. The other one is stuck in alt status and will continue to be so. Continual improvements to the tech was always part of the plan. Segwit it is for this round. Just how it is.
