I rarely post in this thread, but followed for years. Watching the price near 10,000usd (and around 13,000cad) is surreal.
The distance we've come since the days of 30,000btc walls on bitstamp and the NotLambchop posts (wonder what account name he uses now?)

$10k is beginning to feel imminent and inevitable... perhaps within the hour, or two hours at most?  I am going to have to stay up for this...

I'm looking forward to it.

Have prepared a special artwork, just for the WO thread, but I'm saving it for that moment when Euro-ATH will touch 10,000 €. It looks like we are moving steadily towards it, and could get there even earlier than that. Anyway, as long as it happens in 2017 I'm more than happy!

Waiting for the meme veterans from $$$-Land to celebrate their $10k victory, which will happen at any moment now... Congrats guys!!!

Go BTC go!

Someone needs to tape a "1 mbtc" sticker to that $10 Federal Reserve Note and put caption, "Centralized, 100% pre-mined, no limit, scam, favored by drug dealers and terrorists around the world" right beneath it.

What's everyone going to do to celebrate if it hits 10k?  I'm contemplating a drug fueled night in a hotel or just shooting off one of those little party poppers   Tongue

Also, who remembers the $1k Bitcoin party...

Can someone explain exactly what gives BCH its value of $1600? Is that how much people think BTC will fail and revert to BCH or what?

I was looking at log chart and realized something astonishing. There is always just as much gain in the rally BEFORE the ATH as after it. The post ATH rally is just more exciting and there is more volume and opportunity for daytrades.

I do. Didn't last long though.

It wasn't the most fun for me as I was coming to realize I wasn't going to get my 50 coins back from Gox and I had <100 coins left.

Luckily 2014-5 gave me the opportunity to buy back many more than I lost.

This time I was much calmer. The day my Bitcoin stash was first worth over $1mCAD, I spent $1.2k on a new ultra-light powerful bass amp (bought with fiat) and had a few beverages.

I'm still gonna wait for the price to double a few more times before getting into my stash and making any real purchases. Anything under $10m is still just comfortable. I'd like to experience being rich before I get too old to enjoy it.

That's how much Ver and Jihan are cashing out of BTC and feeding to their little BCH monster. Cost of trying to corner the market...
