Coinbase reached its daily limits for buy orders (whatever that means) early in the day today.
Yes, but they didn't stop processing orders for very long.

They just raised their prices until they were charging above Mt Gox spot and kept selling.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Does anyone else have the thing with bitcoinity where the arrows don't show the correct color?

I just saw a bunch of red arrows and thought, "Heh, nice try BEAR! The price didn't even go down. Better luck next time" Then I refresh and all the arrows were actually green. Durp.

happens to me, although usually they appear correct at first, but then it appears laggy, so i reload and all the buy and sell arrows are then mixed together. bitcoinity is very buggy unfortunately.  Undecided

You end up the night at 234$/BTC and you wake up at 240$/BTC. Good morning everyone!

It looks like someone is trying to make it $234 before I go to bed  Roll Eyes

What does that even mean? Or is it a joke?

It means, as I have watched over the last hour or so, (right before I go to bed) someone has been dumping coins for whatever reason (taking profits?). That is all.

Btc China has more than double mtgox volume, could someone get them to add in other cryptocoins, litecoin, feathercoins, terracoins, etc.

Considering Litecoin was created by the owner of BTCChina's brother, there's probably a good chance.

a 1k bidwall at 226 down at bitstamp prevented a further drop and now the chinese guys seem to reconsider their downward movement and go up up up agaaain Smiley

deposited my bitcoins at bitstamp nonetheless

edit: right now, every drop in price seems to attract all those "naaah, i want a price drop first before i invest"-guys, forming a quite decent resistance

After two days of hectic buying and now facing the psychological 250 barrier,If we don't see buys with volume today, then a retracement is very probable.

yes, if we do not go up, we might go down.

just don't forget about sideways...

No one ever predicts sideways.

no one expects the Spanish inquisition

I find it somewhat disturbing that volume is this low...

Oh, and I went to bed yesterday when the price was 229 and woke up to 229 (Bitstamp). Was expecting about 237....

I think we are right up against that psychological wall again where we aren't sure it can really go higher, but we are scared it might go lower, so just nobody moves.

EDIT: in times like these, I always sell just a little. Just in case. :-)
