Here's what I'm pulling out of my ass: if the day ends with the 1D candle in green territory and if tomorrow we also get another green candle, then choo choo is more likely than trainwreck.

Nevertheless: every day that passes with btcusd over 800 makes this new price range generally accepted and hence a return to the 500's less likely. In which case I'd kinda feel sorry for rpietila because he has made some great contributions to the forum. While being happy for myself of course

At what value did rpie sell?

I assume he was thinking that 500 was imminent, but it doesn't look like we will hear from him soon!

It is true, but to be fair, he also constantly deletes off-topic random stuff and pointess discussions; he likes to keeps his threads clean.

I'm glad the price popped up above 900 again on Gox - wouldn't be fun to have Monday start with a downwards momentum into the low 800's.

Rpietila is extremely confident in his opinions until they are wrong and then he quickly dismisses them without explanation.

So he has it in his head that we are going to go to 300-500 on this "bear" market. I think he is very short sighted as usually on these matters and he thinks I am in the "denial" phase. Of course, its hard to deny something that I know is a "possibility" which 300-500 is. Its just not a likely possibility without really bad news.

Rpietila is not a brilliant as many give him credit for, but the average IQ of the forum in general is at a level that is easily impressed. I think Rpietila thinks this will unwind like April and I just absolutely disagree. This feels completely different than April to me.

We'll see.  At least we both agree that we are headed to 10k soon enough.

I don't think so. I see it more psychological. Bitcoin had masterd this high raising with euphoria, nearly mania, taking down any wall.

From day to day the value descends only a bit it will will feel more depressive, more bearish. The denial is lower every day. It's not impossible to break out, but very, very hard.
The acceptance of 800+ is not good. Next week you will write:

Perhaps you are not recognizing, but this is the beginning of bearish thinking.
The price will fall if there will not be a new euphoria. This euphoria can come from GREAT NEWS for example.
Or we have to blow off and take another attempt. There's no need to be scared of an Blow-Off. It would not be the end, just a new beginning.
From 500,00$ to 5000,00$ ore more.

BTW. I'm no bear neither bull.
