Anyone know if Gox reply to support requests at all.

Made two transfers 2 days back, second arrived, first didn't - in my history on the site, just never arrived.

Gone?!

Really pissed off - 'ticket not allocated" (being, thus far, ignored)

I have no coin left there, but they have failed to transfer it, and yet debited my account.

Anyone else fill me in on whether they even bother to look into issues like this, I have lost BTC.

Grrr...!

if its in the history thats cool.

they should be able to clear that up

maybe their send bitcoin monkey was having an off day.

Thanks Adam.... Hope so!

They were both to my own wallet - pretty straightforward transaction, but no sign of arrival.

Did it in two goes to be safe and lost half - fingers crossed!

I still have gox bux left there waiting to buy back in and pull that out too.

Here's some more bad news.

Jamie Dimon denounces bitcoin as ‘terrible,’ predicts its downfall

http://rt.com/usa/chase-ceo-bitcoin-terrible-downfall-100/

so why is he desperately trying to patent a centralized version of bitcoin?

I say desperately because he has been rejected by the patent office like 100 times

Dimon is representative of everything that is wrong with the current system. the guy is a downright scumbag. If he were positive towards bitcoin, then I'd be worried.

I'd need some confirmed Chinese or Russian sources on this before proceeding.

Over the last while they are getting realy rare....

The same reason oil companies hold most solar patents. Solar is bad, bitcoin is bad..... They are just protecting us from bad stuff.

are you sure your wallet is 100% insync with the network?

in your history it says it send XBTC to 1xxxxxxxxxxx bitcoin address and you looked up this address on the blockchain?

mtgox might be slow at answering your ticket because this isnt a simple matter of telling you to be patient, they actully have to look at logs and stuff.

good luck.

We haven't give a flying one when Chase paid all mainstream news to write about their Bitcoin replacement platform patent (that got rejected 150 times or so) so why would we give a flying one what he thinks about Bitcoin, lol.

If that's the bad news you guys want to buy cheaper you're doomed Tongue

I hope Dimon keeps preaching against bitcoin and that everyone that follows him sells or doesn't buy.

They're probably just now getting to the confirmed bad news thread.  Looks like it's beginning.

Wallet in sync, first transaction failed second (ten minutes later) arrived.

All checked out thoroughly - but I will report back when my ticket progresses beyond "Awaiting assignment to a support agent"

First of all, it is the proprietorial desks of banks that would be investing in bitcoin and they certainly would publicly denounce any possible investment until they were fully invested.

Second, the big money will be coming from hedge funds and pension funds.

Try the MTGox Withdrawal Delays thread.  Its only 148 pages long instead of 4K+ but more focused on your topic Wink

Second, the big money will be coming from hedge funds and pension funds.

Those are probably waiting for Winkles to be smoothed out.
Testimony in early Feb will suggest something there.

The corporate international settlement market would benefit from "Stealth Addresses" so their competition can't research their intentions and money movements.

The mining centralization still poses some existential risks (So Jamie Dimon or whomever can't send thugs to the homes of the 3 biggest mining pools to kidnap the women and children until they rewrite enough transactions to destroy bitcoin confidence)

There are some business and technical issues to resolve ahead of the next "investment" traunch (+USD100B)

Meanwhile usage ramps up.  I am hoping 2014 is the year of the 2-4x price movement instead of 10-100x

nice...thanks for the summary, but could you split it up to several pages?
my waterfox keeps freezing when i open it. (old quad, 8GB RAM)

I may do something like that. Or resample the images to smaller size to save space (that would likely kill the animations though).

And maybe add a <head> <body> <title> and alt img....so the big google can index it Smiley

You've heard of NoSQL? The next big craze is NoHTML...

May as well just sell pre-mined 'shares'. It speeds up the process.

But that doesn't build a community does it. Thus a critical component is missing.

You've completely and utterly missed the point.

Depends. Do you want a community drive by pure greed and speculation, like bitcoin? If so, then yes it absolutely speeds up the process.

Truly. I prefer my communities to be driven by pure, unrefined naivete.
