Same problem as always.

Long term the price of 5,5k is still VERY good.

But if you bought at the end of last year (or even this year) this does not help you very much ....

ETH should win because BTC and BCH have problems, ETH with XRP will compete for the first place

Wrong thread LOL

We need a like and dislike button around here.

we have merit and ignore buttons Smiley

Then merit would have more value and I don't want to ignore anyone, not even r0ach Smiley Sometimes it's fun to read how twisted ones mind can be.

I still think this is a bear trap. In our country we have a saying which translates something like: "Take a step back so you can make a big jump foward". But I don't care so much really. After all, the longer we stay low, the more bitcoins I can buy with my pathetic  salary  Grin  I am ashamed how little BTC I have now. I am almost tempted to sell my diesel car for 2 BTC  Grin The diesels will be banned in EU, so this is a real temptation...

If you have under 10 bitcoin’s then fuck it, sell the car. You need to be stocked up for when we moon. This is all just noise, a speed bump along the way. I wouldn’t be surprised if we go back to $8000 by New Year.

ABC has far more economic support, and I suspect that enough hashrate will be moved to BCH-ABC at the critical time. It's most likely IMO that this will be resolved in ABC's favor within 48 hours.

I will be a bit surprised if SV wins, though it's not impossible. If SV wins, I suppose it'll be only after at least some weeks of war. This'd be the most funny and damaging for BCH, though I find CSV too distasteful to exactly hope for a SV win. It'd be especially funny if one side wins due to economic support despite losing on hashrate, which is possible.

I don't see much impact to BTC of losing 5-10% hashrate in this scuffle, especially since the Bitcoin difficulty adjustment is conveniently going to happen in ~1.5 days. I also don't see much fundamental reason for the BCH outcome to affect BTC's price, though who knows short-term: IMO the recent BTC crash was set off by Jihan trying to make some point (made possible due to low exchange depths/volumes).

Step 1 pretend Satoshi, Step 2 buy big into fork while cheap step 3 use some of the personal funds to intimidate during fork, Step 4 control shitcoin and pretend it's new Bitcoin Step 5 be richer than at step 1

Intimidate with personal funds - but what personal funds? The guy hasn't demonstrated owning anything considerable. Kim Nilsson, the security expert behind The Willy Report, showed his claims are risible. The best evidence we have for his wealth is probably the actual account on Gox that was in the leak and showed something like 200 BTC.

Yup - he is a proven liar, almost certainly a forger and what is technically known as 'full of shit'.

Plainly and simply: a charlatan.

What do we anticipate regarding bitcoin price as we get very close to & in the aftermath of this fork?
Desperate bitcoin dumping by both parties to prop up their forked messes which will crash us more?
