Why can't we put somebody like Andreas M. Antonopoulos into that hearing? The comments and opinions of these people are not so well elaborate, as far what I heared.
+1 The women didn't even seem to have heard about coloured coins... yea, that was pretty amazing. so much for reading up before the hearing. sorta depressing the way the chairman blew off the cancer cure thing charles was taling about, like he was not capable of digesting that idea .... no I think he was more astounded by the claim more then anything. Proving the average person has no clue about the reaching power of this protocol

Proving the average person has no clue about the reaching power of this protocol when Andreas is talking about Bitcoin you really see that he understood Bitcoin completely (both from a technical point of view and a economic point plus the political potential). On top Andreas is explaining everything much better for non Bitcoin people with better analogys.

It seemed like she had no idea what she was talking about, and almost everything about the system sounded flawed.

USD or any other currency before until about mid 1900, when you could in theory walk into a bank and get physical gold in exchange for your bank notes at the rate, stated on the said bank notes.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing... some centralized bullshit. Sounds like Ripple backed by gold.
