so i had non sendable Merit anymore and just posted a link nothing to special, and later on the day i just checked the thread and i knew to have non Smerits ,and saw 25 Smerit couldn't see what happened first .... but then noticed wekkel had given 50 Roll Eyes , BOB,LFC and many more also keeps my head above water from time to time (very much)  Roll Eyes
but yeah its just a fact that have something to send is just more fun around the thread , haha thx encycrypto but you didn't need to do that, share them yourself to all your sons in here and make some posts to be a HAT-carrier as well Grin

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

So, you guys think it will go up fast...

I see a downtrend again, this weekend we could have another little crash.

yeah with low weekend volume it could be.... not much needed to shake the market a bit

but WTF let there be some blood and then finally continue the OTHER DIRECTION

But let me guess. Not a single one of the bankers goes to jail. Pay the fine, justice served, business as usual. SMH

In other news, I must still be a poster child for wire transfer failures.  Bitstamp's bank rejected my transfer without reason and even kept some of the money for fees I guess. I can't help to wonder if the guy who sends my wire transfers is starting to see the irony in all of this.
Think they hardly care.

Fucking price drop overnight.

Why would the price of a designed to centralize, non-fungible, permissioned ledger, whose only possible final outcome would be a replica of the Chinese social credit score system go up?  If you want a system like that, you can already move to China now.  For everyone else seeking a fungible, permissionless system that doesn't have built-in middlemen (transaction validators) and counterparty risk like every craptocurrency does, there's physical metals.

The Dutch East India Company was the largest company in history. Also the first company trading stocks at the Amsterdam stock exchange.

The company was as large as 20 of our largest companies combined, it was as large as the GDP of Germany and Japan together.

Amazing achievement from this tiny country.

I am sorry, but it makes no sense.

Dutch east india company profits were:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_East_India_Company
Quote
"the long-term average annual profit in the VOC's 1630–70 'Golden Age' was 2.1 million guilders, of which just under half was distributed as dividends and the remainder reinvested. The long-term average annual profit in the 'Expansion Age' (1680–1730) was 2.0 million guilders, of which three-quarters was distributed as dividend and one-quarter reinvested. In the earlier period, profits averaged 18 percent of total revenues; in the latter period, 10 percent. The annual return of invested capital in the earlier period stood at approximately 6 percent; in the latter period, 3.4 percent."

According to the following 1 guilder was either about $12-15 or $100 (or, maybe, fluctuated between these two with $12-15 being more reliable (later) number.
https://lensonleeuwenhoek.net/content/what-was-guilder-worth

Therefore, 2.1 mil guilders yearly profit is just $32-210 mil in CURRENT buying power.
NO way $32-210 mil in profit can get you ANYTHING close to trillions that you quoted, unless something is wrong with value calculation.
Besides, the population of earth was just 500mil back than. Not enough people to get to the valuation that high.

TL;DR this valuation is a MYTH.

I appreciate your additional information provided but this is no MYTH.

You can clearly see at the images i posted about the companys total value. It says nothing about how much profits they'd made.

Amazon reached in 2018 a $1 trillion valuation. Apple market capitalization past $1 trillion.

Had no idea, Binance stopped serving Iranian customers on the 15th. Today also they cut off Byelorussian, Serbian and Bosnian ip's, due to 'sanctions'. https://bitnovosti.com/2018/11/30/binance-prekrashhaet-rabotat-s-polzovatelyami-iz-belorussii-serbii-i-bosnii-iz-za-sanktsij/
Seems to have been without much/fair warning.
