I was keeping my cash at home until this month actually.

Kept them at home more than a year because the political situation is pure shit here in my country. But then I couldn't resist and put them in my bank account again because I lost so many trading opportunities between USD and EUR currencies. The interest rates are also around 4-5%/year here for USD (you could get %10 in August) which is better than many.

My USD balances are slowly leaking to btc anyway.

I don't like banks. I hate them but at this point I still need them.

Safety deposit boxes, I think they are worth it in the long run for cold storage of fiat.

And as was stated earlier using many banks is a good idea, hell I keep getting offers of 2-3 hundred bucks just to open an account. If that doesn't tell you how much they are making on us then nothing will.

BTW with all the mentions of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" I had to download it to check it out. Smiley
fuck, its in russian!

AFA the best scene of running months on coke nothing beats Good Fellas in my opinion.

Wait you guys don't? I'm about to grab some breakfast in like half an hour in case you needed to know.

I was gonna EAT but I opened this fucking thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Back in the frosty north with my mouthful of titanium. Got in late last night, just woke up.

Going sideways again, I see... currently $3768USD/$5005CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Time to make some Mocha-Java then head out and buy some Bitcoin. It seems the best buying opportunities this year always happen when I'm out of the country. This time I get to participate.

Sold some a few weeks ago for over $8kCAD to pay for the trip. Now I get to buy some back for a little more than $5kCAD.

Thank you Bitcoin.

Then my dreams were crushed. Then I sodl.

Bitcoin Network Momentum
A new leading indicator for Bitcoin price during its major market cycles

Very good reading. Thanks for the interesting link.
These new (for me) blockchain analysis tools have the flair of ingenuous thinking.

Some more good articles linked from there:

A long term indicator for market prediction. It is aimed at separating hodlers from traders, trying to account for lost/unredeemed coins. It doesn't use moving averages, so it's in some ways uncorrelated to other popular indicators.
https://blog.goodaudience.com/bitcoin-market-value-to-realized-value-mvrv-ratio-3ebc914dbaee

Another indicator, more traditional in a way, since it does use timed averages.
https://woobull.com/nvt-signal-a-new-trading-indicator-to-pick-tops-and-bottoms/

Two slightly older papers laying the foundation for NVT Signal.
https://medium.com/cryptolab/https-medium-com-kalichkin-rethinking-nvt-ratio-2cf810df0ab0
https://woobull.com/introducing-nvt-ratio-bitcoins-pe-ratio-use-it-to-detect-bubbles/

I'd merit you, ssmc2, but I used up my quota of sMerit for legendaries, and I'm only left with a handful of candy for ordinary guys. Have this as a replacement token.

My gut for doom told me we hadn't bottomed yet. And we hadn't. We're considerably lower now. But I have no excuse for not selling at the top. And neither do any of you. So sue me.

Or look at John Conway's game of life.... simple rules make complex behavior.

Cellular automata were an eye-opener for me. Suppose you've heard of Rule 110 also?

Who sells at the bottom?

A man needs to eat.

There’s no shame in being young and poor. The only shame in being poor is when we quit trying to make life better.

Now, shut the fuck up, rob a bank, buy some bitcoin and retire with the rest of us. If you get caught robbing the bank don’t worry because it’s three hots and a cot. Also, there’s an entirely different stigma attached to being a criminal. When you’re poor people pitty you. When you’re a criminal they fear you.

there so many debates regarding Bitcoin nowadays. I want to invest in it some money, how do you consider?

1. Find an exchange that works for you, sign up.
2. Find a bad habit you have, that costs money.
3. Quit the bad habit, and spend that money on BTC every week/month
4. Goto 3.

Don't get emotional on the charts or price. Buy the same amount, in regular increments whether the price goes up or down.
If BTC goes to the moon, you have done a good thing. If BTC goes to zero, you still have done a good thing.
