Who sells at the bottom?

A man needs to eat.

There’s no shame in being young and poor. The only shame in being poor is when we quit trying to make life better.

Now, shut the fuck up, rob a bank, buy some bitcoin and retire with the rest of us. If you get caught robbing the bank don’t worry because it’s three hots and a cot. Also, there’s an entirely different stigma attached to being a criminal. When you’re poor people pitty you. When you’re a criminal they fear you.

There is nothing in a bank to rob, except debt.  Grin

Turn water into wine.  Wink

Merited by JayJuanGee (1)

I chose not to sell, to hodl and live like a pauper in the hopes that my dreams wouldn't be crushed.

Then my dreams were crushed. Then I sodl.

You talk about holding and selling as if they were all-or-nothing choices.

You can sell small amounts as necessary and still be holding. That's exactly what I did this month. I was committed to my dental surgery so I had no choice but to sell, even though the price was down. Luckily it was only a small amount of my stash.

I realize I hold more coins than you did but it's a matter of scale. Even if you only have half a coin, you can sell $100 worth to eat for more than half a week and still have most of your half coin left.

I know you like a little drama but money is money and Bitcoin dips are not the time to sell.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Back in the frosty north with my mouthful of titanium.

Thank god. Jimbo's back from the sunny climes. Bitcoin can stop crashing now.

Are we certain this isn’t Atlas? I sense a little nihilism in every response.

Very interesting read. The correlation between Bitcoin Network Momentum and BTC price looks like an accurate indicator of future BTC bull/bear market. Thanks for sharing.

Bitcoin Network Momentum
A new leading indicator for Bitcoin price during its major market cycles

Very good reading. Thanks for the interesting link.
These new (for me) blockchain analysis tools have the flair of ingenuous thinking.

Some more good articles linked from there:

A long term indicator for market prediction. It is aimed at separating hodlers from traders, trying to account for lost/unredeemed coins. It doesn't use moving averages, so it's in some ways uncorrelated to other popular indicators.
https://blog.goodaudience.com/bitcoin-market-value-to-realized-value-mvrv-ratio-3ebc914dbaee

Another indicator, more traditional in a way, since it does use timed averages.
https://woobull.com/nvt-signal-a-new-trading-indicator-to-pick-tops-and-bottoms/

Two slightly older papers laying the foundation for NVT Signal.
https://medium.com/cryptolab/https-medium-com-kalichkin-rethinking-nvt-ratio-2cf810df0ab0
https://woobull.com/introducing-nvt-ratio-bitcoins-pe-ratio-use-it-to-detect-bubbles/

I'd merit you, ssmc2, but I used up my quota of sMerit for legendaries, and I'm only left with a handful of candy for ordinary guys. Have this as a replacement token.

+1 WOsMerit

Thanks! Yeah there's alot of good stuff in that link and the ones you posted.

Haha. Joke's on me. I expected it to be a false URL, riffing on the disgusting nasty-ass honey badger; what? he's eating the snake (eeew! - that's gross!). Imagine my surprise when it opened a page discussing some diet.

Or look at John Conway's game of life.... simple rules make complex behavior.

Cellular automata were an eye-opener for me. Suppose you've heard of Rule 110 also?

Yes, but as of yet, no existence proof of the Rule 34 derivation of Rule 110.

Because trading against the rigged, Bitfinex bucketshop casino wasn't fun enough, you now want to trade against the even worse JP Morgan casino that hasn't lost a trade in metals in 10 years (completely legit of course).

GTFOOH south your 'phony coins'. You have no flipping idea.

Hey dad, heres your shitcoin worth $500 $300 $250 $200 $100 $25 $5 ..... Might as well give him a bigmac coupon ^^

Again, you have no flipping idea. Astounding in your ignorance even. Let's just say that the progeny have certainly enjoyed santa's visits.

People need to get their coins the fk off of Coinbase. I'm sure that they are fractional reserve, and doing OTC for whales will probably make it much worse. Plebs will be 'leasing' what they think are their coins from the market makers.

In a run to sell in a crash, who do you think will get their orders filled first: Whales or the plebs?

Seen this movie before, it's exactly what happens with stocks in the stock market.
