Same for me. If someone walks in slathered in artificial smells I have to leave the room. I would genuinely prefer my beloved to stink of manure if they had to stink of anything.

Some anatomy: the sense of smell is the only sense which is being transmitted directly to your brain cortex without going through thalamus (as all other senses).
Smell [sensation]goes straight up (no pre-processing).
Humans typically have 5-6 mil olfactory (smell) receptors while dogs have  220-300 millions.
Typically, we can't smell much (compare to dogs).

I have a rather bad (low) smell perception, but every time before I have a headache, I feel weird smells. It has been going on since I was in my twenties, so quite a while.

The greatest remedy against all annoying and persistent smell sensations is to put your nose into a jar of coffee and whiff a couple of times.
It works 100% and is used in perfume salons for a reset.

It is enough, if it is airtight and clean on the outside. Your  weed-dirty fingers should never get to touch the exterior of the outermost container.

A practical way to go about it: put the weed in a ziplock bag. Wash your hands with alcohol or oil (something that dissolves the resin). If you use oil, a final soap wash is recommended :-) Similarly wash/wipe the exterior of the ziplock bag. Put it in the outermost container (vitamin bottle or whatever). Wipe/wash the bottle, first with alcohol/oil (for sticky resin particles), then with ordinary soap (for other aroma traces). You're good to go. If it really is airtight, no dog can smell anything now.
