UTXO analysis indicates we may be very close to or just past the bottom.

Quote
Data from the notorious 2014 into 2015 bear market shows that once 1 year+ UXTO jumped back above 50%, Bitcoin’s price bottom followed soon after. According to current bear market data, 1 year+ UXTO climbed back up over 50% recently, just before Bitcoin’s free fall toward its 2018 low of $3,250.

BTW

That DT thread in meta is counting pages AF.....
For trust I just Said, that i only trust a member that have a HAT fixed by XhomerX, cause he wouldn’t give 1 to a scammer Roll Eyes
It seems it was the wrong place to write that (btw Some good trustworthy in here whiteout HATs as wel .... LFC, raja etc)
Cheesy

That trust thing is just very complicated can’t make shit of it Roll Eyes

Thanks for the vote of confidence MicG.  I would never knowingly make a hat for a scammer but as I have seen in my time here, people who seem trustworthy occasionally screw off with your investment monies.  I'm still puzzled by the friedcat  disappearance though ..

send him yours Smiley

especially you with that pacman avatar

why isn't that on a HAT yet ??

It would probably be too small in the patch plus he can't part with his avatar.

OK Homer, I capitulate. If you somehow manage a themed hat I will wear it with pride.

Tempted to buy some, but I told myself for the first time to be disciplined and stick to a limit order 10% below ATL.
Perhaps the sign of the bottom reached, is actually myself. Let's see, happy either way.

I think that you are correct by 1) establishing your budget and your target buy points and attempting to stick to your plan and 2) assessing, from time to time, whether you believe that market conditions might justify that you tweak your plan to some reasonable degree.  Frequently, there can be a considerable degree of ongoing tension regarding whether tweaking is prudent or just to maintain the original plan.  Furthermore, the initial thoughts about tweaking might lead you to a compromise tweak, rather than the more extreme version that initially came to you.

Theres nothing substantially different in that new ETF proposal that it will get passed, the only one I rate as a maybe is the ETF based on the futures contracts because that would employ further regulation in the process.  That seems to be their main objection that foreign exchanges are unknown to them as to accuracy and any regulation and anti corruption drive, they dont want an ETF given to every pension fund based off something unregulated by them.

I think BTC is in a range of about 3500 to 3700 short term.  Below the 8 day average, broken back below 50 day so basically sideways.

I can think of at least one strong reason why satoshi would like to sow doubt about his existence.

So in your example of a possible scenario he (Satoshi) would come out and pretend to be a total dick to not be outed properly as a genius?

Ok so Ive been invested in BTC since 2018 with an average cost basis of about 8k per coin. Sadly I dont see how we arent going to have at least one more huge move down well below 3k. I have orders to buy 3 more coins if we hit 2k. I dont want to sell rn but I am considering taking out a short position here. I believe in Bitcoin, but Im tired of so much losing in my first year Embarrassed

Could a few members help me out and post their best argument for why we already saw the bottom, or their best argument of why we are gonna have another big move to new lows.

Thank you in advance.

Stop worrying about shorting the final gasp of the bear market and start thinking about when you are going to long the bottom and how you are going to do it.  Much more profitable.

Clearly not enough weak hands have been shaken out yet.
The whale always needs more plankton, and the plankton is 'tired'.
160,000 Gox coins to be released.
Bitmain to be declared bankrupt.
More layoffs due - coinbase, bitpay, other buggers.
ETH fork uncertainty.
Halving still some way off.
ETF denials.
Bakkt have reportedly already bought their coins.
b~,tmsr is short of managers
99% of twitter and 98% of bitcointalk sees legacy regulation as necessary.
Scams taking money away from btc: ETH, SV, EOS, ripple, security tokens, Barry Silbert, taxes... more.
No bitcoin drama (sorry theymos trust drama doesn't count). (maybe the proof of proof thing a tiny bit)
JimboToronto went to Mexico. TheHeron is awol or so it appears.
