+1 (this merit thing is starting to get annoying for WO leechers)

send him yours Smiley

especially you with that pacman avatar

why isn't that on a HAT yet ??

It would probably be too small in the patch plus he can't part with his avatar.

OK Homer, I capitulate. If you somehow manage a themed hat I will wear it with pride.

Tempted to buy some, but I told myself for the first time to be disciplined and stick to a limit order 10% below ATL.
Perhaps the sign of the bottom reached, is actually myself. Let's see, happy either way.
Goodmorning wo’s

Ok so Ive been invested in BTC since 2018 with an average cost basis of about 8k per coin. Sadly I dont see how we arent going to have at least one more huge move down well below 3k. I have orders to buy 3 more coins if we hit 2k. I dont want to sell rn but I am considering taking out a short position here. I believe in Bitcoin, but Im tired of so much losing in my first year Embarrassed

Could a few members help me out and post their best argument for why we already saw the bottom, or their best argument of why we are gonna have another big move to new lows.

Thank you in advance.

Stop worrying about shorting the final gasp of the bear market and start thinking about when you are going to long the bottom and how you are going to do it.  Much more profitable.

Clearly not enough weak hands have been shaken out yet.
The whale always needs more plankton, and the plankton is 'tired'.
160,000 Gox coins to be released.
Bitmain to be declared bankrupt.
More layoffs due - coinbase, bitpay, other buggers.
ETH fork uncertainty.
Halving still some way off.
ETF denials.
Bakkt have reportedly already bought their coins.
b~,tmsr is short of managers
99% of twitter and 98% of bitcointalk sees legacy regulation as necessary.
Scams taking money away from btc: ETH, SV, EOS, ripple, security tokens, Barry Silbert, taxes... more.
No bitcoin drama (sorry theymos trust drama doesn't count). (maybe the proof of proof thing a tiny bit)
JimboToronto went to Mexico. TheHeron is awol or so it appears.

I have thought about this, thats why I said I have orders to buy 3 more coins at 2k. Thats all I can afford to lose. It will bring my total investment to almost 40k. I will not invest another dollar after that. All ive known investing in Bitcoin is a terrible bear market and its hard not to worry as early adopters dump on my face Cry, but thank you for the advice.

Im interested in hearing other Bitcoiners best argument(s) as to why the bottom is not in yet(i believe it isnt but hope im wrong). If you have one id love to hear it. If not thanks anyway.

Thank you for the good answer. Gox coins really scare me too, and i hate the scammers and so many fake bitcoins, they confuse people. I didnt know bakkt already bought, interesting.

I dont know who JimboToronto and Mr. Heron are, but I hope they dont dump on my face like all the early adopters seem to do. I picked a bad year to invest, but i will stay in for the long term. Im young and can save up more money if I lose it all but it will suck.

On a warm summer's evening, with a JayJuan bound for nowhere, met up with a Micgoossens; he was too broke to afford to sleep.  I said son I made a living out of dumping shitcoins on people's faces, knowing how big of a scam they were by how many beady Jew eyes.

You got to know when to HODL, know when to FODL, know when to dump on Elwar, know when to run.  You never count your shitcoins, when you're sittin at a shitcoin table, they'll be time enough to take a dump when the dealings done.

Thank you in advance.

You just need to be patient & wait it out. Don’t panic sell at a loss, most of us have, at some point been staring at massive losses holding heavy bags.

In 2014 I thought I’d made a huge mistake investing in bitcoin but I dug deep & HODLED. Even at current prices I am HODLING huge, huge profits.

Since the first block was mined, over time, the bitcoin price only heads in one direction overall & that is up.
You may need to HODL for even another 2 years but I can close to 100% confidently tell you that you will make very nice profits.

The next halving is mid 2020. If you can wait for possibly 12-18 months after that you will make obscene profits.

Don’t sell my friend....HODL....It may be the best thing you ever do financially.

The key part of seasteading is a higher degree of sovereignty. More than just a house boat. International waters is ideal. Any home in international waters needs to be able to handle the waves.

Our spar design allows us to live above the waves.

I am currently in a boat towing the platform out to international waters where it will be placed on top of a 20 meter long spar. This will allow the platform to be 5 meters above the water. The location we will be has 5 meter waves maybe once in 100 years.

Sweet, and rock on. Next thing to deal with will of course be pirates.

or nuts like in the "waterworld" movie.

without serious defensive measure in place im not sure how i would feel living on one.

The cannibal negroid creatures on North Sentinel Island are all the proof I need that whites and asians need to team up together to get rid of the more primitive, dark-skinned races:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/24/world/asia/north-sentinel-island-missionary-killed.html

Throughout history, sailors have been terrified of winding up marooned on deserted islands due to cannibals.  This is not some type of new thing.  We've just gotten rid of most of the cannibal negroids over time, but places like this still remain.  This is the natural evolutionary form of people in places like Africa, or the creatures on this island.  If you let them into your lands, they reproduce out of control through R-selection and revert back to negroid cannibalism again, destroying everything in their path.

me? i never merited roach for anything.

i figure if you are your own sovereign nation you need to be able to defend it. lotta nuts in the world.

and such a place would need a lot of redundancy in power generation and flotation.

im not against it (seasteading) but nature tends to be unfair and takes advantage of bad or incomplete designs.
