Wall Observer thread has turned towards poetry. Capitulation.
A little late to the party but I heard this one recently: Haikus are always Heptadekasyllabic Exactly like this. Though I don't think the party will even start until $3200, and then it could go either way.

if we where in SCI-FI
and there is an offer to watch 1 day in the future (whenever day you wish, just to see where BTC stands)
how much would you offer to pay for that and how far would you wanna look ?
10 Bitcoin for December 2021.

OK Homer, I capitulate. If you somehow manage a themed hat I will wear it with pride.
Tempted to buy some, but I told myself for the first time to be disciplined and stick to a limit order 10% below ATL. Perhaps the sign of the bottom reached, is actually myself. Let's see, happy either way.
I think that you are correct by 1) establishing your budget and your target buy points and attempting to stick to your plan and 2) assessing, from time to time, whether you believe that market conditions might justify that you tweak your plan to some reasonable degree. Frequently, there can be a considerable degree of ongoing tension regarding whether tweaking is prudent or just to maintain the original plan. Furthermore, the initial thoughts about tweaking might lead you to a compromise tweak, rather than the more extreme version that initially came to you. My apologies JJG, double capitulated. Seems like I am slowly going the Elwar way. Just can't help myself when at prices to be able to buy whole coins at once again. I am a little confused about what would be the "Elwar way," exactly. I did not know that Elwar had established a signature way regarding the accumulation of bitcoin, at least not recently. He is known to be a bit of a large HODLer, and that he keeps a decent amount (perhaps too much) of his total investment wealth in BTC. Surely, Elwar is also known for his seastead bent..... And I recall specifically that in 2016-ish he made a pretty fucking BIG bet on BTC that involved proceeds from a house sale and ended up paying off BIG for him in the medium term, even though in the short term, he appeared to be putting way too much into bitcoin. So, what are you referring to, exactly? Are you referring to a practice in which you are putting a way higher percentage of your total wealth into bitcoin, or something else? No.... That is generally not prudent for a vast majority of people.

call me crazy but I believe over next 72 hours we will test 3200 or come close again to it. then from there we will have an epic rise again. ETH hardfork could be the catalyst to change things over next 3 days.
Next 24 hours are crucial!

Today in Krakow Tomorrow trip to Auschwitz Thinking about Roach
Been there and it's sobering. I did it so I could look fucks like roach in the eye and say 'have you even been?'. The banality of evil is the truth... and good men saying nothing is what allows it to prosper.

Maybe i already did; here it is (for free): I saw bitcoin at $605,000 in 2029 The setup of my "time machine" The number of people in US with wealth over $5 mil (5-millionares) is increasing (1997-2015) at 11.35% a year. https://www.statista.com/statistics/300451/us-millionaire-households/Assuming the same rate of increase between 2015 and 2019, now there are about 2.09 mil 5-millionares in US and 5.067 mil in the world (US seems to be at around 41% roughly). It is unlikely that btc would cause statistically significant increase in total number of 5-millionares, therefore the variation from expected number should not differ by more than 5%. in 2029 total number of 5-millionares is expected to be 14.847 mil with 6.135 mil in US. 5% variation from 14.847 is 0.74mil. therefore, not more than 0.74 mil btc owners would be 5-millionares. It is fair to assume that btc-derived 5-millionares would have the vast majority of their wealth from btc alone, otherwise they would be in regular 95%. the statistics below suggest that about 0.75 mil btc owners have minimally 7.44 btc https://medium.com/@BambouClub/are-you-in-the-bitcoin-1-a-new-model-of-the-distribution-of-bitcoin-wealth-6adb0d4a6a95Therefore, assuming that 90% of btc-owners wealth come from btc and not more that global 5-millionares would come from bt wealth in 2029 the numbers indicate 4.5 mil value (90% of 5 mil) for 7.44 btc, making it about $605,000/btc. The distribution of btc suggests that therefore, no more Loved your analysis. I'll have another drag of that hopium bong please! ....paf pif pang wang.... Price sounds about right, at the end of the longest to that date known bear market, fueled & set for the 2030 new ATH. Source: 2059 - 50 year Anniversary BTC Almanac.

Does nobody keep their coins in their passphrase protected wallet.dat
I’ve never had any issues. I only use that laptop to store my coins. Never had a problem, I do no other tasks on it, it helps that I’m not an idiot who clicks suspicious links & downloads movies/torrents etc.
I’ve seen some sad stories on here over the years of people losing their life savings, it’s neaely always major user error though. People downloading bogus Electrum wallets, trying to claim shit coins etc.
i keep an amount of btc on the core wallet on my daily driver pc which is on 24/7. its the same original wallet i created in 2011. never compromised. and its been on the windows os. so about 8 years on a windows computer thats always on and always connected to the net. just need to not be an idiot when it comes to your computer. no torrent/cracked software etc. just common sense stuff. but with safer options available theres no reason to keep all your coins in it. i moved most to paper a long time ago, only keep small amounts on it. EDIT it is of course backed up to the point of absurdity. if all copies get destroyed the world will be in such bad shape it wont make any difference. btw if your still running it in non deterministic mode (as i do) make sure you backups are always recent as in that mode change addresses are limited.
