Satoshi(2)? If it's true, it could be good for Bitcoin. Mimblewimble is a protocol that was put forward by an "anonymous user in a Bitcoin developers chatroom" by the name of Tom Elvis Jedusor (the French name of fictional Harry Potter character, Voldemort). Mimblewimble itself is the name of a spell used to tongue-tie victims in Harry Potter. Jedusor left a link to a whitepaper in which he outlines that by using the Mimblewimble protocol, the scalability, as well as the privacy of the Bitcoin network, could significantly be enhanced.https://www.mycryptopedia.com/mimblewimble-explained/

According to the inevitability chart approximately soon I envy you being in mexico.its 3°c here in uk Just hold and accumulate for a few more years and you can do it too. It's actually really cheap. Once you've bought a cheap place, you don't need to pay for accommodations. The main expenses are air travel and land transit. There are no property taxes. ____ Soon? Soon takes a lot longer here in Mexico. Everone's got lots of time. It's money that's scarce.

I just replied on that thread. Grin is limited to 10 TPS, which is abysmal, and not much of a "true scaling solution". It reduces blockchain bloat though.

From current prices what crypto do you think will 10x first, Ethereum or Bitcoin? Both ETH and BTC will not make 10X so forget 10X and get into seeing bitcoin being used as a means of payments worldwide, this should be our main objective If Bitcoin is used for payments worldwide it will more than 10x. I think it is a new asset in that as it is being established as a SoV at the same time as it's capabilities of a MoE are being bootstrapped. I think most money has had to really become the first one before it could be the second, and I think Bitcoin is going to overlap more than that. But then, I am a fairly strong proponent of scaling in layers. Btc is worldwide, check on google with "Bitcoin site:countery-suffix", you will find at least 1 website selling btc on each countery. Some people use BTC to buy giftcard, popup VCC...etc. people do not need to exchange their local currency to dollar and open bank account to transfert money. BTC has made anything worldwide.

The fact that we already have ASIC's being deployed for this project leaves me extremely dubious. I understand that spinning up new ASIC's for crypto-du-jour is becoming a regular occurrence, now, but am not entirely sure what Grin brings to the table compared to BTC/Lightning.
HODL.
Believe it or not I actually read a few pages of Grin's main thread. I see it is a self-pruning (am i right?) infinite supply coin which has some differences than btc which makes grin a bit more light weight and usable as a currency. It says a grin will be created in every second. The first couple of years (maybe even more) the price will be going down, (theymos said it may go below $1) since the inflation rate will always be the same, after a time like 5-7 years, if the project surives by then, only then it will be going up. I see it as an experimental project which is not going to threaten btc's #1 status, at least not in the next 10 years. I may start buying 2 years later. This is the first time I caught a big project on day 1, and fuck my luck this is the first time getting in early is not rewarding.

https://www.businessinsider.com/young-blood-transfusions-open-accepting-paypal-payments-cities-ambrosia-2019-1"A startup called Ambrosia that charges $8,000 to fill your veins with the blood of young people is now accepting PayPal payments for the procedure online." "In 2017, Ambrosia enrolled people in a clinical trial designed to find out what happens when the veins of adults are filled with blood from younger people. While the results of that study have not been made public, Karmazin told Business Insider in September that they were "really positive." Clowns. In the future the blood of young nocoiners and will be bought with Bitcoin by immortal coiners. Only way for the poor to buy in after 2024.

Don't worry, I have a plan for our little friend. No whitepaper yet but I think those are overkill and cause a lot of unnecessary infighting. edit: VeeCash! VeeCash! VeeCash! uhhhhhhh that's a straight 8 The dev team told me it was two V8s stuck together! Damn... they got 10% of the pre-mine too. wtf? dunno how you've infiltrated my dev team, they're all nda-ed up the wazoo, but glad to see they downplayed it a bit. 70% is quite enough for the common people, less the ongoing founder's fees and so forth, and golden toilets for devs of beautiful new coins are mandatory nowadays you know I'm working on a sidechain. It's weird. It seems many of the old school bitcoiners who didn't pile on Monero are now piling on Grin.
Ironic.

Great that the BimbleWomble sidechain is coming together, but if it could add more than 3 bhp to the whole shebang, well that it would be a start
