If you had a choice:

1. Btc at 20K average for the next 10 years with fluctuation only between 15K and 25K. It goes up to 15K tomorrow (just for the purposes of scenario comparison).

2. Boom and bust scenario where btc could be 3K or 100K on any particular day in the next 10 years.

What would be your preference?

JP Morgan will buy bitcoins on BAKKT when they open.

No, they won't. It would solve nothing for them. Too small so far.

Long read but essential: https://fs.blog/2019/01/yuval-noah-harari-dominate-earth

The same principle will propel Bitcoin to new heights, if the narrative remains compelling. We all have our role to play.

One day, God saw all the horrors that mankind were discovering.

A single tear fell to Earth in a lush green field of grasses - weeping over what his children were doing to themselves.

From this field of ancient grasses, sprung the first sinsemilla, and spread its seed.

It's hard for sinsemilla to spread her seed without losing sinsemilla status!  Grin

You set a target in your life. (That usually happens when you are in high school or earlier. The earlier the better.)

If you are smart, the target should be achievable.

Most people with average intelligence usually reach their goals in life. (Making decent money, having a decent salary job, wife&kids, a yacht etc)

If you are smarter, you achieve your target faster than the others. A lot faster. That makes the real difference. I am not that smart but I can identify a smart guy instantly. Most people don't have that talent. :p
Hard work in smart way will make the things easier than others doing.Being in a decent salaried job is not a good achievement it is same as being a slave to king which makes no difference to being a slave to civilian. Do business and start cashflow on your own by hardwork don't work hard to make someone rich (job).

There are two classes, ownership and wage slaves.  You are correct if you are working for a salary you are pretty much a financial loser in the capitalistic society.  I don't think highly of people with money because they are usually scumbags but you have to be an owner if you want to be rich.
Saw your JJG avatar and wondered how he got out of the time out box. I suppose it's time for second chances.

Fuck Lambos.

Fuck Yachts.

When it moons beyond $20k, Rick and I are going to buy some property in Denver, build a big-ass warehouse on a portion of it, register with whoever we need to register with, and become farmers... and stuff...

Living out retirement in a state friendly to the herb, sounds like a horticulturalists "Happily Ever After".

Do not see the political/legal landscape changing in Texas for at least another decade, otherwise I would invest in the real-estate/infrastructure here.

Then again, having to commute back-and-forth between CO and TX seems like a nightmare, so, maybe it's best left to the realm of dreams...

I thought you hated the snow?

in most cases, things in your mind won't happen. just live today and don't think for tomorrow.

Not everybody has the same opportunities. But everybody has opportunities.

Agreed.

A kid born to an investment banker in NY has the opportunity to go to Wharton.

A kid born to a Pakistani manual laborer has the opportunity to work in a rug factory at age 10.

Everyone has opportunities.

The real question is whether we think this is a satisfactory state of affairs, or whether we should strive for improvement.

My belief is that by improving the opportunities available to the child of the Pakistani labourer, we all become wealthier.   That child may invent a cure for disease X if they are given the opportunity.

Plot twist: We find out that the little boy would've grown up to be a child-raping, murderous jihadi if he weren't chained up in a rug factory.

Does anybody have insight into real-estate in Montenegro? Is it dumb to buy some? IDK EU/Russia politics and economics really, and I simply seek economic Mediterranean climate land/real estate. (Don't want to go to AUS, CA too expensive).

I havent bought real estate in Moneynegros but I hear its a pretty bad place to live. The food not good the house too small and the drink not big.  The sun bring big burn to the skin if you skin white , robbers go steal money pockets from wallet all time dangerous place that is not face value.

ummmmm
