I was a bit disappointed they did not point their guns at Bitmex.

How they did not? They checked all exchanges with more then $1 m of daily volume on CMC. That was close to 100 exchanges. They posted top10 with most volume. And 10th was polo with $1.4m  So best chance for Bitmex is to be 11th with less that that.  That information is not satisfactory for you?

Bitmex does not trade Bitcoin.  It trades Bitcoin futures, most notably a futures perpetual with physical delivery. And the claimed volume of Bitmex is massive (which makes me think it is fake because slippage is very bad). 

The only two futures exchanges that they mentioned were CME and CBOE.  And XBTprovider which I have never heard of but appears to be real.  Odd.  

Would you be so kind as to enlighten me on slippage? In what way would it screw with trading?

Would it throw you out of a trade when there are insufficient orders in the other direction remaining as opposed to the hard value at which your collateral turns to zero?

So it started with BitConnect (I say it ScamConnect)

The suspected New Zealand Mosque shooter claimed in his so-called manifesto he made money investing in bitcoin-related cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme BitConnect.

And ended with blaming Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency have long been used by terrorists and neo-Nazis looking to avoid law enforcement and the traditional financial system. Bitcoin has attracted the likes of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who recently called it "the future."

USD or other fiats are holy currency for them so no blaming goes for fiats LOL

Point is that Bitcoin is a threat for their centralised printed currency system.

The "problem" is bitcoin is still new and regulators haven't found a way to protect investors from getting manipulated.

I could do without their 'help'.

And by 'help', I mean meddlesome restrictions barring voluntary action. Under color of law.

proving the legitimacy of my coins is one reason i have my original core wallet from 2011 still running on this rig, have copies of activity data from (most) exchanges ive ever used, still keep seeds from now empty wallets, have copies of receipts from the mining hardware (as well as most of the actual hardware) from mining back in the day, etc. as one day im sure someone (bank, irs, whatever) is gonna want proof thats its all legitimately mine when i cash out.

guessing he is grabbing old wallets and attempting to do the same. although wouldnt chain analytics prove a problem?
