I have a question for you guys regarding an event that was mentioned about 3/4 of the way through the below-linked Rabbit hole recap episode:

They said something about a coordinated effort to buy bitcoin at midnight UT on this coming saturday.

I was planning to participate in this event and to market buy a relatively small amount of BTC at whatever the fuck price is then happening, but I could not find any further information about the buy/pump bitcoin event.

Anyone heard about this or have further information?  If I cannot find any widespread publicity then I might not do it or if I do do it, then I will just buy a smaller amount than I originally intended.  Otherwise if the event is more widely publicized then I might buy a larger amount (out of taking one for the team support) in order to support/promote the idea  of the event.,. which is to pump bitcoin at a specific time... just for LOLs.

Firstly, we don't know who is organizing this or how deep his pockets. If he is trying to get public attention, it won't work. To move btc for like $200 on stamp, you'll need like 350 btc.

Maybe I would watch it just for the fun but joining is a no no.

O.k.  Fair enough. 

I would not have given the matter even a second thought; however, th tales from the crypt podcast is pretty credible, and they were saying that they were planning on doing it.  But if I merely market buy .01BTC or some small amount, then it should not matter too much, I suppose.

Doesn't matter to me either way, and I am not really worried about the matter being a scam because we would just be buying bitcoin, not sending money or bitcoin to anyone besides sending to ourselves, and if the BTC price subsequently falls by $1k or more, we just have to wait it out for the price to come back up, which is likely to happen sooner or later, so I figure, no skin off of my back, either way.

I'm using an older version, not the 0.18.0  one, and that thing appeared on some older blocks. I remember doing research on that error and there was some "signaling Segwit" nonsense.

Anyway, I'm glad the transaction fees dropped by 50%, it was a nightmare the last 2-3 days to figure out what fee was required to not lose time. But I guess some impatient ppl flooded the exchanges recently, because from what I know, the exchanges seem to use the 0.0005 fee for their transactions.

You are a moron posting flat out lies in order to try and scam people just like the other 99% of financial scammers on Twitter.  It's 100% impossible for the price of Bitcoin to go $1 million after 1-2 more halvings.  It would require dozens more halvings and that's even assuming Bitcoin still existed DECADES from now.  Not to mention the fact Bitcoin at $1 million each would be higher than the entire M2 money supply while Bitcoin is a dollar derivative = impossible.  The Bitcoin PoW mechanism also prevents the price from being pump and dumped to insane, irrational numbers since someone can always mine a coin for $6k post-halving cost of production instead of paying you some retarded number for yours.

And no, it's not possible for mining to expand out of control like it's done in the past to buffer the price or it would use more power than the entire United States.  The "Bitcoin uses 75% renewable energy" meme is also a complete lie because the metric is solely based on mining centralizing in China at two ghost city dams.  The world does not have infinite amounts of hydro dams in the world built by the Chinese govt for ghost cities that people are currently not using for Bitcoin to expand out of control to.  $100k is NOT possible either after one or even two more halvings.  The rise to $20k pre-halving was based entirely on Bitfinex and Tether fraud so if they replicated the same fraud they could possibly push it to $30-40k post-halving before imploding again if they don't get put in prison first.

The moronic scammers posting this "stock to flow" garbage don't seem to understand Bitcoin is not an actual resource or commodity either.  Stock to flow only works on resources humans actually need.  If you hoard all 21 million digital shitcoins in the world, everyone else can completely ignore you like you don't even exist and there's no possible way for you to price gouge them.  If someone hoards all the physical silver or oil in the world, those are actual resources so they can ask whatever the market can bear.
