Aaaaaaand what can be done more or less?? It means Fillippone is a much better pump and dump scammer than LFC_Bitcoin, so LFC_Bitcoin was demoted.

People say oh the govt thugs (police, customs, army) won't come to bitcoiners' houses to arrest them for being bitcoiners because they'd be being paid in worthless dollars or other fiat. This is naive. They'll come and shake us down for free.
The only way they can get my coins from me is torturing me. Jail probably would have the same effect. But we are thousands already. Can they jail us all? Only if there are too many weak rings among us who'll do whatever they say like sheep and I don't think there are many sheep among us so I am pretty much certain we do have a good chance to survive.

Lots of peeps do it. It's not that hard to do. One could simply bounce it from one country to another, set up a business, and a bunch of other things. You don't need to be a billionaire to do it.
If you decide to put your fiat money in the system, it's already clean by then, and if you put it to work earning dividends, then you are paying taxes on that income, the government will likely not go after you. They have bigger fish to fry.
The guys revealed in the Panama Papers thought it wasn't that hard either. I'd just declare it and pay tax, especially if you reside in a country where the burden of proof is on you to discharge the tax authority's accusations *cough, Blighty *.

Reported racist bitch. Oh dear, good sir. It seems you might be confused, for the concept of a nation is nothing more than an ethnocentric majority of common culture and bloodline. Without such, a nation does not exist. And if a nation does not exist, there can be no governing body. And if a governing body was present - since the nation is composed of an ethnocentric majority - how could it be possible to be racist against oneself? Alas, your "666" username denoting worship of the devil could be found to be highly offensive to younger viewers and might need to be reported to the authorities.

Those guys in the Panama Papers did it wrong. Most or all of them outsourced the job, they should have done it themselves. Anyway, maybe there's a big difference between $10m and $100m (aside from the obvious $90m) in the way it's handled. If I had ten thousand bitcoins and then joined a few ICOs (and got another ten thousand ETH and assorted alts) and cashed them all out at the top (an almost impossible feat), I'd have difficulty cashing out the limits daily from all the exchanges I know today, so that would be a problem. A nice one. But still a problem.

I looked at the bunch of charts this afternoon and PlanB/digitalik one's continue to impress. The question is: if this is basically a co-integrated chart where btc is almost pre-destined to go to about 55-100K after this halving, then when to expect the rally? Last time we were lagging in June/July 2016 at $500-700/btc when "theoretical" value jumped to about $4K. It probably represented the best entry point as far as short term risk/reward ratio looking backwards a few years. However, since now these charts were wildly circulated, one can expect a run that might peak actually at the halving or shortly thereafter, like in Nov-Dec 2020 instead of Nov-Dec 2021? Hoping that price stays flat and there would be some instrument to buy btc in the retirement account. Don't want to "invest" in anything else there at the moment.

Remember when the goal was to get 21BTC, which surely would put any of those folks who had been able to HODL onto that amount as being in a very decent position at $100k per coin, and now there are a lot of meme-ing around the random 6.15BTC goal, which seems to rely on BTC going much higher than $100k per coin in order to really be comfortable.
I guess that part of my point is that amount of BTC goals are going down and down and down. Of course, we have those who are either with a mediocre budget or are just getting in striving to get to 1BTC and more. There have surely been some of those folks participating in this thread. At some point, we are going to have peeps aspiring to get 1 million satoshis... or whatever other reasonable amount becomes our new deflationary goalpost point.
Oh man, how I love this post! Thanks JJG!

Oh man, how I love this post! Thanks JJG! That's a moving target. I just looked at official inflation numbers and it is a woozy. Basically, dollar lost about 50% in relative value since 30 years ago, therefore, to be "comfortable" in the future you need to take this into consideration, but it is very difficult to do since, historically, forward inflation values were not very predictable.

Does instant messaging over Lightning have killer application potential? The world needs censorship-resistant chatting and with Lightning, compensating the network for message relay comes naturally.
https://twitter.com/joostjgr/status/1190714028626251779End-to-end encrypted, onion-routed, censorship-resistant, peer-to-peer instant messaging over Lightning
https://github.com/joostjager/whatsatmother of fuck that's clever A Lightning payment delivers the message, but no actual money is paid. Because the sender uses a random payment hash, the receiver is not able to settle the payment. The failure message that is returned to the sender serves as a delivery confirmation. should have to pay though, to avoid spam, but still edit: not so sure now. what you think? data leaks? just plain spam? time will tell.

OK, i'd need some opinions on this prototype piece i experimentally fucked up, taking hours and days to take it this far. Now i have got a last piece of ebony left, which will serve for the production blank, where all flaws of the protype should be eradicated. This will serve the purpose of being a card protector for future texas hold'em games.

anyone post this stunning news yet? 22 hrs ago: https://cointelegraph.com/news/french-high-school-students-will-learn-about-bitcoin-and-cryptoThe ministry further provides teachers with three educational explainer videos that address questions such as “Is Bitcoin the currency of the future?”, “Can Bitcoin replace the Euro?” and “Do you have trust in your currency?” According to the ministry’s outline, students will be required to compare Bitcoin with fiat currencies, which will eventually lead to basic knowledge about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and their role in the traditional financial world. ---- France is seeing a surge in cryptocurrency adoption with the French crypto startup Keplerk relaunching its service at the beginning of October to accept BTC payments in over 5,200 tobacco shops in France. In late September, over 25,000 points-of-sale of 30 French retailers including sportswear giant Decathlon and cosmetics store Sephora announced that they will start accepting Bitcoin payments by early 2020.

So you're saying one of the most crooked 1st world governments on earth run by Rothschild puppet Macron is attempting to forcibly indoctrinate children into using cashless society slavery system tokens, just like the communist government of China is, where everything they do is tracked and monitored in real-time like cattle?
