Good morning Bitcoinland from the Maya jungle of Quintana Roo.
Woke up this morning to a nasty red dildo erecting before my very eyes... currently. $7644USD/$10144CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
It went down almost to where it was a month ago.... pretty close to a double bottom.
Why does the price always seem to tank whenever I come down here?
Oh well. I'll be flying back up in a week. Hopefully the price will follow me.
No Warning again! Your in timeout. Well deserved. Didn’t do an art submission, might just send my cock in with a BTC logo on it & a ruler next to it - 1 inch per birthday’s that the forum has had.
So much for Opsec! ...
AlcoHoDL asked a reasonable set of questions. Not all of us have lots of time here at W.O. nor are programmers. We are all learning. I too would like to know the right answers. I don't like to spread any FUD nor anything negative.
Lauda replied with unnecessary venom. That likely means that s/he was having a bad day, even for a grumpy kitten. Lauda, I hope that your day is going better now.
Peace. <-- Lauda, get you some. You'll feel better.
WO is not for the faint of heart.

Guys, I've been reading this crazy stuff posted by someone called "Shelby Moore" (whose messages were recently re-posted in the WO thread by user THX 1138), about how all coins held in SegWit addresses will be donated to miners, as they are free-to-spend coins in the legacy (pre-SegWit) blockchain, and only the coins held in legacy addresses will stay intact and belonging to their owners (private key holders).
It is technically possible. Indisputably. Is it likely? Who knows? Then again, we've been discussing this possibility (i.e., sounding this alarm) since before segwit activated. It ain't new knowledge. Well, Shelby's affixing a date to it is more recent. But this vulnerability has been known from the beginning. Will the world end tomorrow? Who knows? It certainly is technically a possibility. Indisputably. This vulnerability has been known since the beginning. It's also a possibility that aliens will visit us and give us the key to everlasting longevity. Idiot.

^^ He did say he was going to be the next ambassador of dogecoins. With boredom comes a theoretical explanation of things we use everyday. There are more use cases for the blockchain then you might think!

Lauda, this is a gentlemen's club. You need to stop frightening the guests, gather your Alanis Morissette tapes, and leave the premises.

Keep calm and this is fine. avatar-sized Amazing Hat one of the coolest I have seen, is it a request or just there for occasions (like now for a few days?) Love it Thank you Mr. MicG and it is for everyone any time this is fine. Very nice this hat, excellent, for these times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I made a sketch for the tenth anniversary, but the design is not my thing, it is a retro finish (with filters). The hat could be for the anniversary of bitcointalk or for theymos the logo is that of the forum. Excuse me xhomerx10, for wearing one of your hats for this, I just want to see if I wake up your motivation in the last minutes. edit: I have not resisted the temptation, I have published it in the contest : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193860.msg53144644#msg53144644

Whaaaattt??? Good thing my stash has never touched a segwit addy then eh? lol I'm safe.. Tesla unveiled the new cybertruck just now. Some very cool features but absolutely hideous. I really thought it was a joke at first. I hate EVs but also hate pickup trucks (I prefer gas guzzling sports cars), but that "truck" is sick!! It's like a modern burger Delorian.. BTC is in a little dip.. Might last a while.. Next pump 300k!

Whaaaattt??? Good thing my stash has never touched a segwit addy then eh? lol I'm safe.. There is zero actual truth behind this. We're talking about a 51% attack, in which it would be retarded to think the price of BTC would come out of it unscathed. However, the chances of a 51% attack happening in BTC are next to nothing. Even if it did happen, assuredly the bitcoin community would reorganize and go with the chain where the attack didn't happen. So "anyone can spend" would only be in effect for as long as people were willing to buy coins on the wrong chain. It would be chaotic for a few weeks, and yes, the price of BTC would plummet, along with all other coins. It could take years for confidence to rebuild afterward. However, I'm willing to bet anybody that this will NOT happen, EVER.
