God damn...... Just when I was done with spinning course... I treated myself on a Pizza Quatro formaggi + 3 rosé wines on rocks.... Then when I was outside I realised I lost all of my BTC on a boating incident few days back I'm here now only to write and believe but damn that boating trip F*** That should help you to reign in some of your ostentatious and extravagant demonstrations of consumption, hopefully. Before Mic can answer, perhaps he'll indulge us by letting us participate in the new poll. Old poll: The conditions of the old poll have not even been met, yet. we are still in the middle.... I've got some slight life issues ATM. Watching the corn doesn't help a bit. Shitty times come, shitty times go. Waiting. Well, at least I had no boating accident yet.
That is why all of us have to be careful NOT to overinvest.. .because shit happens, and even if we have gotten the upward price spurts in bitcoin, we can never really be sure how long it is going to take for the next upward spurt. Surely the longer that time passes without an upwards spurt, the more likely that some shit can happen that could shake us from our coins, especially if we might have over-invested a bit too much. I am not saying that has happened with you d_eddie.. but this is a public thread, so the idea of not over-extending oneself in terms of their corns is addressed on a more general level. Probably most peeps do not want to be forced to sell any corn at a time that is other than their own choosing. That's all I am saying.

That looks like an awesome blowjob lineup. Also, what happened to you Goosy? Whats this about a boat? Apologies, I was keeping away from corn until the corn stopped scaring me. I tried my best but I huffed some hopium and now I am here. When you 80x too frequently, it comes back to bite you, and peeps never talk (or brag) about their losses... that's one of the major problems of going 80x more than one time (after you had already gotten lucky, even though admittedly it had been an accident). Squander away all gains plus more and maybe even end up going completely broke out of desperation. it tends to be an illness for anyone who plays more than once.

Why do they have to make everything so damn difficult to service these days? Maybe I'm just getting old and inflexible...
While I do resonate with your frustration here, it is not entirely their fault. Just today I was revisiting a circuit I built almost 20 years ago. Miniaturization was my primary design goal and then I had a fair bit of feature creep...serious density...let's just say it is NOT easy to work on. All I'm saying is stop a minute and consider just what they are packing in there.

I'm sure Mic is joking...
But...
Always keep several copies of your recovery seed in paper (or other non-digital) form, and not all in one physical place (e.g., if you have two houses, keep copies in both). Also, use a passphrase in addition to the seed, and never write it down, for plausible deniability and also in cases where someone finds your seed and recognizes what it is.
Another thing I want to stress is that TREZOR, Ledger, and any other h/w wallet that uses standard BIP protocols (almost all of them do), are all interchangeable. This means that you only need the seed (+ the passphrase, if you use one). There is absolutely no difference if you use a TREZOR, Ledger, or even a s/w wallet like Mycelium. Your coins are not "stored" inside these devices. They exist in a universe-sized, multidimensional mathematical construct, and you only have a map to find them. The map is you seed (+ the passphrase, if you use one). That's all you'll ever need to access them.
So, don't worry if you ever lose your TREZOR or Ledger. They are just containers of something you (should) already have.

I may add that keeing portions of the seed (wordlist) in several places makes sense, too. If there's theft or robbery, they will only get away with a part of the seed. Be sure to include detailed information in your testament.

If you have a passphrase that's not written with the seed then it won't matter if the whole seed phrase is lost to theft assuming you have a backup or a wallet still running it. I could see where giving the passphrase to a family member would make sense in the case of your passing while your seed or hw wallet could be found in your safe box. I only say this because there's quite a few people who go to unnecessary lengths to hide their seed words by circling words in a book, keeping half here, half there, mixing the order and other silly ways of losing or forgetting how to put it back together properly. Reckon it's probably one of the top 5 ways funds have been lost.

I'd like to think Mic is playing a sick sick joke on us. He claims to have lost his Nano S - with all his corn in it?
How about the Nano X - to the moon edition? As a sentiment from his post history, I believe that his seed is safe, maybe even Shamir safe. WO members that know him irl, cheap booze instead of cocktails, new apartment, only tell me that he is moving all-in on BTC - LS style. I'm sorry, but I think Mic is better than the average reckless Joe.

Reckon it's probably one of the top 5 ways funds have been lost. And that's why detailed informations about recovering the seed from fragments are important. A passphrase won't work on non-digital versions of the seed, that's why i even considered fragmentation/obfuscation. Also, if you have parts of the non-digital seed in various places, it's harder for people forcing you to hand over the seed wordlist. Say, if you have to go to the notary to get you printed seed (or parts), for example.

Haven’t seen this mentioned here yet, but hard to keep up from time to time: https://twitter.com/ergobtc/status/1197496064854634496?s=21It is regarding a Plustoken scam?,supposedly continuously selling 200k bitcoins on Huobi. About 1300 per day, and 58000 still to go. Would explain the selling pressure?

I’m not bothered by the selling & subsequent price suppression, it’s giving me the chance to get to an ultimate OCD target number of coins I’ve been after for a long time. We’ll go up when it’s time.
