It is interesting, based on the prediction model. Although in my opinion making predictions is somewhat complicated. 4 years multiple shows difference between current price and price 4 years before. It never went below 6x and if it keeps above that number in next two years next ATH would be $120K minimum. Source: https://twitter.com/digitalikNet/status/1204928433651879941But, According to Tim Draper: While explaining the different financial investment options investors have, Tim said Bitcoin provides the best option for long term investors. Tim who is an investor himself predicted that bitcoin price would reach as high as $250,000 within the next few years. He said Bitcoin is constantly improving and gaining more applications. Not a word WHY this happened. That would be a model. So, fascinating, but dismissed as a predicition worth for investing.

Thanks fillippone, This is how you say, I trust the PlanB model with the modeling of the value of bitcoin with stock-to-flow ... it gives much more credibility because he himself affirms that the model is not forever.

The bitcoin community may soon have its own version of Ethereum’s flagship decentralized finance (DeFi) platform.Money on Chain, a startup currently in the process of moving to Uruguay and converting into a nonprofit trust, just launched a DeFi platform based on the bitcoin sidechain Rootstock (RSK). The transition to a trust mimics MakerDAO’s Maker Foundation, which oversees the governance of a loan system with $330 million worth of “locked-in” crypto collateral.
While other projects like the Cross-Chain Working Group are exploring ways to wrap bitcoin in ethereum-based tokens for DeFi use, or offer centralized services for taking DAI loans with bitcoin collateral, this RSK model wants to use an open-source protocol inspired by bitcoin.
“We are going to allow other projects to build the DeFi ecosystem on top of bitcoin,” said Money on Chain co-founder Max Cajurzaa. “We are going to launch lending products on top of Money on Chain, but the ecosystem will evolve. Exactly the same as what happened with MakerDAO on ethereum.”
Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar, RSK co-founder and CEO of IOVLabs, said his team is already in talks with MakerDAO to explore bridges between that ethereum-based platform and this new sidechain project.

Solution: switch to linux
its own kind of hell I am also about to convert to linux. I was fine with win7. I liked it. It was doing alright. It had everything I would want from an operating system. Tried win10. Didn't like. One bit. Tried linux before but never used it for a long time. It has its own fuck ups I believe but nothing is perfect and I still believe it is better than w10. Hopefully I am not making a mistake.

Ditto, but linux is only free if your time isn't valuable. It's consuming a lot more of my time than I anticipated.

yeah Redmond has finally lost me. Obviously I will keep a Windows example running, but I am actively trying out Debian flavors in test now. Just too intrusive, nanny nagging bullshit, its over.

The issue with linux is lack of software in specific domains. It's great for developers, usable for graphics, just not there yet for music.

ING working on digital assets custody technology
Dutch bank ING (INGA.AS) is working on developing technology to help clients safely store digital assets, according to people familiar with the matter.
The custody project, which is being run out of Amsterdam, is still in its early days and is one of the bank’s several initiatives around blockchain, the technology underlying cryptocurrencies, the sources said.
ING “sees increasing opportunities with regard to digital assets on both asset backed and native security tokens,” the bank said in a written statement to Reuters. ING is particularly focused on developing the technology behind digital assets to give its clients a compliant way to access the emerging sector, it added.
The project comes as established financial companies look into offering custody and other services for both cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, as well as other types of digital assets.https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currencies-ing-exclusive/exclusive-ing-working-on-digital-assets-custody-technology-sources-idUSKBN1YF2GN

I use both Win10 and Linux. Gotta use what you have. No need to force the issue over which one is better for what tasks, they can both be used together (maybe not in the same machine, but yeah, get 2 computers I guess; dual booting is kinda painful and wastes time.)

Now I am 15 pages behind... Time to catch up, as I already emptied my sMerits allowance I have more time...
Personally, I believe that it is a bit better to frontload on the spending of smerits for a variety of reasons, even though you will likely get used to finding ways to spread your smerit allocation through the whole month in order to keep the allocation completely refreshing in a way that you never really run out. On the other hand, there can be some stresses with having the benefit of serving as an smerit source, which you have correctly inferred by your above statement, which is the spending of all of your smerits as you get them. The having to spend the smerits and feeling an obligation to get out there and read a few posts is a kind of feeling of a curse part of the blessing of serving as a merit source. Hey, you asked for it... hahahahahahaha, and right out of the ballpark, your smerit allocation is way more than mine was in the beginning and even seems to be more than my current allocation.... not that I really care too much because I feel kind of an overabundance, even with my initial allocation, I was feeling just fine with that, even though I would run out a lot more with my initial allocation, so sometimes that kind of screwed me up in keeping a list of so many great/good posts that I wanted to send an smerit once I got replenished. So sometimes there was some stress in falling behind. Since theymos has incrementally increased the allocations of active smerit spenders (as you mentioned in another one of your posts), I have kind of grown into my allocation situation, and I am glad that theymos has merely made incremental adjustments to mine rather than some kind of BIG ASS dumping of smerits on me, which sometimes I feel that I am giving out way more smerits than I can really justify, anyhow, which causes me to feel better with mostly just allocating the sending of 1 smerit per post that I feel moved me to send such smerit. Oh, by the way, sometimes I feel that I am burdened to send out some smerits, and I am not seeing any good posts out there, but then on a regular basis, it all just seems to work out, and great posts come in and I run out of smerits, too. So there is that.... the never ending great posts of the forum (and most of mine are in the WO thread - but not exclusively, of course) that deserve at least 1 smerit if not more....
