I am no fan of the chinese autocratic system, but the recent rise in tribal hate-mode towards China worries me. A frustrated population always want somebody to blame, and it is not hard to see how a populist leader could latch on to these sentiments and let things escalate into a new world war. Like Ray Dalio has said, in history when an upcoming economic powerhouse challenges the current Nr 1, more often than not the end result was war. With a similar economic prowess but a larger population, I fear things would look bleak for the west in such a war scenario. And even if the US would win, the amount of damage sustained would be huge. I do hope we are able to navigate these changes in a peaceful way.
One half: Russia, Russia, Russia! Other half: China, China, China! It's almost like some powerful forces want to divert public's attention away from domestic targets...

As all previous halvings proved we're getting a pump either before or after halving... and this time it seems we're not getting any pump before the halving so...

War has solved more problems than anything else in history. The only question here is if it is a war that should be fought. Not if war as a concept is good or bad. It is unquestionably good.
Not the giant clusterfuck called the Iraq war. Nothing good about a clusterfuck. A clusterfuck is just a clusterfuck. If you like clusterfucks, then yes war is good. The Iraq war was over in one day. Literally one day. The rest of the time was spent... farting around basically, as nations do it. We should have been in and out in a week. This is not a problem with war, but with the clueless chucklefucks who are in charge of deciding where the military goes and what rules they have to follow. For example, they can't shoot enemy spotters if they are children. So the enemy uses children as spotters. Like a boxing match with both your hands tied behind your back, after you already won but the guy is allowed to beat up on you anyway.

Let Orrel re-open his chicken feed business. If only stupid people keep going out, without masks and in groups, then only the stupid can infect the stupid, and the problem will simply take care of itself. I understand the excess burden it places on hospitals... But if the choice is between that and having protestors shooting up the hospitals, well they should just let people go out. We are all carrying around thousands of viruses all the time. We just happen to be immune to most of them. They are as much a part of the natural ecosystem as the cow in your burger. There is no reason to think corona will just go away once most people have been through it. So let's say you stay inside in your bunker with two years worth of food and toilet paper. The government announces the pandemic over, you emerge from your lair... and then you will probably get sick anyway. People are going to die no matter what. That's just a part of life. As long as we don't overburden the medical system, which now has effective treatment, then it is better to get through it faster rather than slower. Because viruses mutate, and the longer it takes the higher chance of another strain that will make us all sick all over again.

Its possible we cannot perceive aliens as they are beyond the spectrum detectable to us or some other reason we arent aware
Pay attention here folks...first principles at work. +1 WOsMerit Living in a perceived universe where scientific observations postulate that we are unable to account for 95% of energy or matter, I think it highly probable we just dont have the hardware to see whats really going on...yet. but we can observe its effects on other, ordinary matter. if a creature only reflects on a particular (invisible to us) frequency, it must block all others, no? we would see its shadow and such.

Another morning, Bitcoin back at 6800 ish. Wonder what it is with that number, better than 4k but not going up which is annoying.
Ah well, better than owning a thousand barrels of oil.

All Members Today is the Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I am sure that we all wish her to remain in good health during these turbulent times. I guess they didn't bother with ear protection because they figured she was deaf already.
