Good morning Bitcoinland. Nasty little bart down from over $50k. At least we're still above where we started yesterday. _____ O.T. for all you Disney woke folk: My wife brought this bit of Mexican fun to my attention. It roughly translates to "Pussy, the little boy who wanted to be a real little girl".

I'm seeing quite a few articles today talking about a $50,000 Bitcoin and mentioning that it's more likely than not that Bitcoin will see $100,000 by the end of the year. This is the sort of thing that gets the ball rolling on FOMO for the masses. While I think the major fireworks in media will start when Bitcoin hits a new high, the $50,000 barrier is no slouch at generating headlines either. Sure, there will be some profit taking as people who don't watch the market see the news and dump their forgotten bags, but it won't last forever. I'm still firmly on team BULL for at least the next two months unless mtgox surprises with a distribution.

@ SamReomo I already see BTC at 71k before the ½ ing a new ATH
which I see getting broken in the Fall by over 100k. Which I see that getting topped in December 2024 over 200k
Yeah, I think BTC has some chance to reach 71k before the halving event. New ATH will form after that but it will not be at the levels that most of us are expecting. I'm not sure that Bitcoin will reach 100k by December 2024 or not but we will be very excited to see the value of Bitcoin in December 2024.

I feel good vibes in here again, it was about time.
About IAW, i am not sure that this is CT/Antisthenes' reincarnation, but the timing of appearance would match. Let's hope he is able to return to his old style and drop his bitterness for good.

the future for me and everyone else is death in under 125 years. Unfortunate statement of fact above. So I am more concerned about the next 20 years. 67 to 87 what is my future? What fun can I have in the next 20 years.

Money is overrated. Health and friends/family are what matter. You can make your own fun/happiness.

Why don't I have "Patrol" in my options, like you do?
You have to enable it in the Forum Profile Information settings. Wow, never even visited these settings. ICQ? AIM? MSN? YIM? It's like visiting some web museum... Meanwhile, corn is picking up pace again. Hopefully $50k will be surpassed for good by the end of the week.

I was told of a friend of a friend who lived on noodles and water for 1 month straight. And then he died. Not sure of the cause of death. Not sure if it was ramen either.

Money is overrated. Health and friends/family are what matter. You can make your own fun/happiness. Money and time are two things that aren’t appreciated until you run out of them. It’s easy to say money is overrated when you have a roof over your head and food on your plate. While I would agree that riches are overrated, money is a necessity in developed countries unfortunately. Without it, you might find your friends and family forget about you… Plenty of those stories in the homeless community.

I was told of a friend of a friend who lived on noodles and water for 1 month straight. And then he died. Not sure of the cause of death. Not sure if it was ramen either. There's nasty, potentially lethal bacteria growing if you keep noodles or rice for days in warm environment. Best to put in the fridge after cooling down (post cooked). I saw a report a few months ago where an asian dude died because of a bowl of rice he kept in a pot with a lid for 8 days before eating it up. May be related. EDIT: Found a news article about it ("Fried Rice Syndrome"): https://nypost.com/2023/09/12/fried-rice-syndrome-death-is-freaking-out-tiktok-form-of-natural-selection/ Don't get triggered by the title, citing tiktok morons.
