@pigeondog / shroomsykid

Total bitcoins that exist: 13,080,350 BTC

On bitstamp in the last 24h, 7245 BTC were valued at $568,00 - $586,00

13,080,350 BTC - 7245 BTC = 13,073,105 BTC are valued as 'priceless'

PS: We need to consider a few more exchanges, but the overall picture remains the same.

This means that the majority does not agree that the price is $568,00 - $586,00.

If we bounce up from 550 and break 680 then in retrospect this will simply look a correction after a price doubling.

Bit lower and I'll buy another few! I am going to reach my overall coin target much sooner than expected. Yay.

Let's recap. US regulation incoming. New fund opening 1/8/2014. Lots of coins need to be accumulated off exchange. How best to ensure a great price? Technical dumping on exchange to get the momo traders selling the price down. Acquire coins. Manipulate price upwards by removing selling pressure and some technical buying. Job done!

I feel sorry for you if you think this is anything else than simply people getting out.
There aren't secret groups of people keeping the price down to buy cheap coins. Stop being so delusional.
Everyone with a lot of money had every chance to get in. Even the last few months when everyone expected a bubble they didn't. They realize this isn't going anwhere.

Oh boy breaking the current support and re-testing the prev. bottom would be a disaster

Where do you see that support line drawn in that graph, I mean $USD-wise? The resolution and scale make it difficult to figure it out.

Looks like a daily chart with the lows being in the 400s. Doubt very highly that we'll get there, sorry bears. Look at all those recent red candles in a row; the sellers will run out of ammo eventually and we'll form a nice bottom.

The sellers will run out of ammo soon. I've been hearing that daily for the last 2 months. Can you define soon please?

I expect that this is exactly what is happening.
Manipulate the price downward on the exchanges to keep downward pressure on the off exchange price in order to accumulate enough bitcoin en mass for the new opened fund.

Then when the price finally goes up there won't be any coins left for sale on the exchanges, cue face-melting rally.

Are you really that dumb to believe that people with money are going to buy bitcoins on the moment when a bunch of kids like yourself are expecting a bubble?

I saw so much charts here, accelerated trendline, bubble forecast etc.

While these Get-Rich-Quick Charts are being inflationary posted it always good to think about leveraged shorting.

Are there still people here who believe this is just "shaking out the weak hands" and that we're about to go to the moon?

Let's call it what it is. Bitcoin is failing. People are getting out. Moving on to other things.
The peak is over. This WAS the bubble you all were waiting for.

There isn't massive user adoption that will raise the price. Companies aren't standing in line to use Bitcoin. Wallstreet isn't dying to get in.
Everybody has been saying that to the point where everyone thought it was true Well it isn't. You've been lied to.

The price won't bounce back. Feel free to give me one valid reason why it should. You can't.

Smart money is getting out. Just like i just did. But i won't go away. I will keep on coming here to see how you fools will post charts every day to show how we are about to go to the moon while in the meantime the price goes down and down.
I will probably laugh as well.

What a fucking attention whore... .Get the fuck out of here if you are NOT invested.  We DONT need anymore meaningless posts from people who are NOT invested. Good bye, Shroomie.

Perhaps he should arange a meeting with @shroomskit in his parents basement, so that he can be educated by a kid on why bitcoin is doomed.

How and Why to Build an Unbanked Bitcoin ATM

...in which I combine electrical engineering, economy theory, and trading strategies.

wow great article! I love the presented idea of bank-independent ATMs. At first I thought that it's nice how such a thing might prevent banking troubles such as the NZ company you mentioned is facing but then I realized that a network of these ATMs would indeed represent a superior pricing mechanism to what we have today, both in its robustness and its efficiency. Seriously one of the best ideas in Bitcoin space I've read in a long time. I'd be willing to invest in one of these.
I wonder whether one could make money with arbitrage between two such ATMs, say two guys communicating byphone? Or between an ATM and the exchanges?

If you'd bother to actually read the article, you'd see that it's precisely arbitrage that is a major factor why a system consisting of unbanked ATMs would be a superior pricing mechanism.
