I actually feel sorry for Shroomy. Because I know how that feels. I think almost everyone makes such a mistake when they're new to the stock market. You gotta learn from your mistakes. And I don't want him to quit coming to the thread.

Stock market? What does Bitcoin have to do with trading shares of ownership of companies? That's a noob mistake if there ever was one. I think almost everyone makes such a mistake when they're new to Bitcoin.

Also, I hope you realize that Shroomskit is just kidding with his recent bearishness and that 2BTC nonsense. He's no more of a true trollbear than Proudhon. Perhaps your comedy detector needs adjustment.

It's all the same when it comes to charts and the price of things. So yeah, Bitcoin is the same as the stock market what human behavior is concerned. And I really don't know about Shroomy. I'm not certain that he really is just trolling. I thought he maybe joking, but who knows...

They'll try their best. They know if we get even higher, their shorts will be burned. Can't wait to see some of them get burned again for a change! How many short do you guys think have been burned on this short rallye up?

Not many at this hour... I would guess that there won't be much action for the next 5 hours, unless it comes from the West.

Did the nice little train today originate on Stamp, Finex or was it really China that started the choo choo?

Price started to rise at ~13:10 UTC on Huobi and OKCoin, ~13:18 on Bitstamp and Bitfinex, and ~13:25 on BTC-e.  So "obviously it was Bitfinex that started it".  Wink

Very few if not zero. Why would you short when you could simply low bid without the cost or substantial risk? Especially with the credit bubble and the potential for a cascading effect (which seems exceedingly less likely to occur, of course). I mean, at worse you net zero. If they shorted on leverage they deserve to get burnt (and I always feel for the gambler, but geez, that would just be so stupid).
