I think we are running up to $400.

based on what ? ..lol you didn't get the memo ? $250ish before the end of the year is my wag *watch!*

I also missed the memo, but I support your proposal whole-heartedly.

(*note* support, in this context, means emotional, spiritual support. Unfortunately I cannot offer support to your campaign in the form of bitcoin. That shit is MINE!

something is bound to happen around new years...right now we are winging it ! Smiley here is a brief text touching on the issue >>

Lots of complaints on reddit about lost/stolen bitcoins, many from blockchain.info wallets:
https://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2nkias/this_is_a_list_of_rbitcoin_users_who_had_their/

Good.

I think trying to teach bitcoin to sheep is a huge waste of time.

The general public needs to be abstracted from any kind of personal responsibility.

They just can't handle it, and I'm done with trying to explain.

What the fuck dude, they're sheep if they don't buy, they're sheep if they sell, and now they're sheep if they aren't a massive computer nerd who understands every bit of nuance of security required for these things?

Don't be such an elitist asshole. Besides, if you keep calling them sheep, you'll never convince them to become greater fools.

What the fuck babe? Sheep are sheep and I'm just not wasting anymore time on lost causes.

We will see a recover after the black friday.

Won't we?

Some fear huge BTC spending from the first Black Friday by large retailers offering use of Bitcoin (Dell, Overstock, Expedia, Newegg, etc...).

Retailers don't keep BTC, they dump to FIAT.

So essentially, when you spend BTC on items you are essentially dumping it on the open exchange.

Yup +1
Hold you mofos

If nobody uses XBT, retailers are not going to offer the option and we will have no more user adoption. No usage, no value. So spend like a mofo and buy back instead!

Its not because you dont spend btc that you dont use em.. Roll Eyes
Use It as a store of value. Hoard and reduce overall supply. Then let macro economy do its shit.

Édit: otherwise you Will just get burned by trading bots and banks and miss thé next train

I am not sure if we really disagree but I will try to rephrase myself. If nobody spends XBT to buy stuff or transfer value in some kind of transaction then you will all soon be hodling monopoly money. Its utility as a digital currency is what makes it valuable, It is what separates it from a pyramid scheme. If you need something and you get a black friday discount + Bitcoin discount, that adds up. Any movement in XBT value would have to be pretty radical if it's going to offset that before you buy back in.

Its utility as digital currency is not about being wasted on consumerist crap. It's for gentleman's transactions like moving money privately, cheating taxes, System D, and generally sticking it to the man. Not to say that there are things that you can't buy with a slavecard.
