At an early age is very harmful to drink, because the body has not yet fully formed. And in adulthood, alcohol does not have a very good effect on well-being. Although it depends on every organism, all people are different.

I don't encourage the consumption of alcohol by minors. But at the same time, it is ridiculous to move against the alcohol intake by the grownups. There are substances which are even more harmful than alcohol, such as sugar and common salt.

I disagree with you. Sugar and salt are not used in large numbers. You eat salty food? Or tea with 20 sugars drink? All the food in large quantities is harmful. About 30% of the world population suffer from overweight. But you must admit it is different.

At an early age, you must not prioritize drinking because it is not really good for your health, especially your kidney. Drinking is not bad, or wrong,  but it just need to be moderated.

When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

It all depends on ones health-situation. Stronger drinks like whiskey should always be consumed with moderation but beer and wine, especially red wine, have literally been around for ages so I guess they're fine as long you don't get too drunk, too often.

In all countries where alcohol is even such a weak how the wine is part of the national culture, a lot of alcoholics. It seems to me that the human body has a gene that allows to consume alcohol and not be dependent on him, and the damage to the body makes any excessive alcohol consumption.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

Many said that alcohol has a good effect to human body if you do it in moderation. But I think too much alcohol is not good to your health. Dringking too much alcohol may affect the function of your liver.

Im agree with it.
If you have some health problems like liver complication you cant drink alcohol.
But if you have no health problems you can drink alcohol but always be a responsible drinker.

Please compare the number of people who die from obesity, hypertension and diabetes every year, to the number of people who die from alcohol poisoning. You will find that the former number is many times the latter.

These are not the side effects of drinking alcohol. Rather, these are the consequences of alcohol addiction. BTW... no one has proved that brain damage and cancer can be caused as a result of alcohol intake. I agree with the other points, such as impotency and ulcer.

The consumption of alcohol will never have positive impact on your life in fact it will lead your life into negative direction and it can even spoil your relationship with your friends and family and it will land you no where in future.

Well too much alcohol can actually kill you. Everything has its limits.

An overdose of alcohol can kill a person, so you need to observe the measure. This is like a medicine. In small doses, it can even be good for health.

It is correct to say the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption can have serious consequences. I now drink coffee with cognac and not feel any consequences. The measure should be in everything. When you drink too much water it can also be a problem.

You're right, most of our concept of what is harmful to health is manipulated by the government and large corporations, keeping the population ill informed, in order to not hamper the sale of certain products and legal drugs.

Well my friend, first of all what is your purpose of drinking alcohol? If its just about relaxation then there are plenty of alternatives... coffee and tea are the best.

Now my friend, as far as I know, alcohol were made to intoxicate and party party! So if you would only drink a bottle just to relax, then the alcohol is not serving its purpose to you... but here is the catch, if it serves its purpose and intoxicates you then yes my friend, it is harmful indeed... Bad for you, bad for your loved ones too.  Roll Eyes

As with everything else in life, all is OK in moderation

I'd have to say that this is probably one of the biggest issues that come up with drinking, people don't know when to stop and when enough is really enough. It's something that has to be addressed as we hear in todays news about more and more people being hit by drunk drivers.

It is correct to say the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption can have serious consequences. I now drink coffee with cognac and not feel any consequences. The measure should be in everything. When you drink too much water it can also be a problem.

Though, water can harm you but the amount of water you'd have to be drinking in order for it to cause any sort of issue for you is really a disgusting amount and I don't think any human would do that, unless forced to.

Once you take one sip of Alcohol you're poisoning yourself, you're pretty much volunteering to drink poison. Your liver can usually fight this off, but upon drinking it on a regular basis at an excesive amount you may incur issues such as needing to get your stomach pumped, liver problem, and other cancers down the road.
