Would this be good watercooling solution for BitBurner XX?
http://www.goodluckbuy.com/water-cooling-kits-syscooling-spvg-1-radiator-circulating-pump-gpu-water-block-fan.html

Cooling area (120mm x 120mm) looks OK, it has pump, etc, and water block material is copper. If it can increase the hash rate for 20% it sure looks profitable, but I'm not sure are these things to be trusted, never had any experience with them.

It is very refreshing and at the same time frustrating that an open project has been carried out with more professionalism than several big money projects.
I have to say I get inspired with each photo and comment about the product and dev process in this thread and I hope the community wakes up and stops feeding the undeserving morons that some of the other suppliers are.

The BitburnerXX and the execution of the whole project is truly a breath of fresh air.

And I've been watching for, waiting for, hoping for something with even a fraction of the dynamic here and on the Klondike threads to generate around design for the BFL chips.

Unless I'm missing it, it isn't happening.  Maybe the attitudes and perceptions of the chip vendor informs the attitudes - and who is attracted to - the grass root, open source, DIY effort.

with so many pitfalls & even legitimate companies failing in the BTC world, I'm extremely happy to have chosen to back Burnin. great stuff Burnin!

It is extremely amusing to see what someone can do alone without a proper budget yet, while a company with a HUGE budget fails heavily in the development with three times the time and access to the second largest semiconductor company in the world...

I think this is mainly because the PCBs required for BFL's chips are a lot more complex (from what i read you need 10 layers boards) and i'm not sure that BFL has provided everything that is needed for DYI projects. But even if we had some projects around it personally i wouldn't give money to a company like BFL and to a retard like Josh Zerlan.

Yep, this is exactly what I've been sensing, and it suggests there is still a high risk that the BFL chip deal will be pretty much DOA if and when they ship.

Of course it's a much harder job to design the chip from scratch as well, but seeing as BFL has actually done the hard part there, it beggars belief that they can't push on & get units out faster.
Burnin, BKKcoins & the others have pretty much done their development out of their own pockets as far as I'm aware so, pcb complexity aside, it's bizarre that they are on schedule to pump out more hashing power than BFL have done in the 1yr+ development time they've had, and not to mention with all that pre-order money they received.

I think it makes more sense to design a bitfury PCB instead one for BFL chips.

Oh, I haven't noticed that. There are many variations, should be some models with bigger water block size.

Also to have some final numbers before the ordering window would be great. Such as with shipping and VAT costs.

Contrary to all my competitors I do take EMC seriously and designed these boards to be compliant. (which did increase price)
Emission testing is scheduled for next week, but the Lab hasn't yet confirmed my appointment.
The boards will be tested against EN55022.

Really good news. I will pay happily more for a safe, proven product. Smiley Thx burnin, good job!

I am new - but have been lurking for a long time.

I have been watching developments on this along with the other builds - very impressive.

I noticed that http://www.asic-chips.com/ is offering the boards with Burnin's design with the chips and is also located in Belgium.   Does anyone on this thread have any direct affiliation with this particular site?

Since he was accepting paypal I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

I expect it'll be someone in this thread who's ordered chips and is waiting for the order website like the rest of us.

Paypal should be just as fast.

EMC-Lab confirmed the appointment.

And i have some more overclocking figures for you guys.
Note: I expect that future versions will be more stable due to a few changes.
341 Mhz 1.2V 57.5W - passed long term tests with 0.2% hw-errors.
409 Mhz 1.2V 68.04W - hw-errors increase to 3%
448 Mhz 1.2V 74.4W - not stable
448 Mhz 1.25V 81.6W - unstable 50% hw-errors
448 Mhz 1.28V 84.016W - unstable 50% hw-errors
