I had Zefir send my chips directly to me.  Now I need to send some over to Burnin, but I don't have his shipping address.

I sent Burnin a PM.

I don't think they are purpousefuly delaying chips. I think it's just their incompetence that has been shown time and time again.

Perhaps, but what better than delaying 1st gen chips so that dissatisfied miners want/need 2nd gen chips. Although you can be 100% sure I won't be buying Avalon chips in the future.

Yes, Avalon has moved onto my DO NOT BUY FROM EVER AGAIN list right along with BFL...

Yup, Avalon chips are a thing of the past now

BFL = Criminals
Avalon = Unreliable
KnC = Use Extreme Caution (has been sighted in a photo with BFL Josh)
Bitfury = Too early to tell
ASICMiner = Expensive but Reliable

so right now, ASICMiner is the only safe supplier.. in my mind

They treat customers like shit. And we are smiling and photographing them on conferences and fairs and meetings.
I cannot wonder more how is it possible that they may came out of the house.

Here where I live for those things they will be driven in a trunk.

Reporting same here, they would be forced to dig their own grave with shovel in a forest by night.

Can anyone who has sent chips confirm that this is the correct address to ship them to?

We'll all be winners when we get our miners and bitcoinprice will go upupupupup :-)
Difficulty follows price, not the other way round.

How do you mean here really? Price only increases if demand is higher than supply. (And supply will be a lot bigger than demand, independent on difficulty as people want to get their investments back.. )

If the price gets higher there is more incentive to mine -> people invest in more hardware/ switch on devices that would be unprofitable at lower price -> hashrate of the network grows -> difficulty is adjusted accordingly. And the other way around when price drops. That's what he meant.

Thanks.  I heard back from Burnin who confirmed the same.

I managed to get them out by EMS before the post office closed this morning.

This is the last of the problem now.

I've listen that TMSC has sell the Avalon technology to Altera. Not clean yet if Altera will continue the production for Avalon too.

Any link/reference?

I think Avalon has the chips... And they are not delivering for some reason... What is the reason? Speculation? A big fish buying the delay? Waiting for 3rd batch to be fully delivered? Being sued for IP infringement? Chinese mafia?Huh

TMSC cant sell avalon technology since they dont own it. Of course they could take contractors for producing but if it would lead to worse waiting time for their customers they could not afford to do so. TSMC is (one of the) biggest producer, they cant do unprofessional things.

I'm sorry, my english not very well.

But I've listen this news from valid source. We had try to bypass Avalon and try to buy directly from TSMC. Our contact there are answer to us that TSMC has sell this type of chip technology to Altera.

So they outsourced the ASIC-Production... that would be fine generally and means when Avalon orders the production of their chips they order at TSMC and they let Altera produce them for them. They only would do this when Altera can afford to handle it. Doesnt sound like a problem to me if its true.
