They need the margin to finance their "farm" - this entire asic arms race is getting totally ridiculous. Burnin does not offer any refunds until mid October, using the pre-order money to create the new boards and pay for the chips and manufacturing costs. Then to top it off, the reward for this "financing" by the pre-order customers is to screw them again with the cryptx deal. Burnin needs to come clean and at a minimum offer the pre-order customers boards at cost, as they are the forced "investors" in this game.

I haven't even looked at the new hardware, i had 10 bitburners on order and haven't received a single email from either burnin or cryptx. Nothing is clear, and when people invest 1000s into a product it needs to be He is "taking" our money (I could have used a stronger word) without our permission to fund his new enterprise. At a minimum we "investors" are entitled to "dividends" - therefore he owes these people a decent price at the product of this "joint venture". Otherwise this will be headed to legal action. Very unfortunate that Burnin chose this way.

you people have to start thinking about a legal action, this is not BFL, and burnin is from Germany, there some strong consumer protection law in all EU especially in Germany.
I am sure that Burnin sold the design to these guys for a fair profit and these guys want you to pay for their own mining operation with these prices, because they know exactly that you are fucked and you will have no choice, it is their strategy .
till now I didn't hear a word from burnin about this problem, he logs in and doesn't comment on all what is going on.

Maybe somebody needs to notify Punin from Bitfury about what is going on here, that they are using "forced investors" money to pay for the chips. Let's see how he feels about this, and if he wants to take the risk of accepting funds that were taken without permission of their owners. This would cross their entire business model.

You all should use the built in trust function to show the people whats going on here. Dont get cocky in there, just state what happened and proof it with reference. People are able to see what really happens right now and hopefully we can put on a light in this tragedy. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=142607Also be aware that there are still other people who offers boards with bitfury chips in the DIY scene.(Also with chips from punin) Lets hope that burnin did not sell his plans to them and allows other distributors or GBs to buy with higher quantities.

I just asked cryptx if my discount from my failed bitburner boards came to 1000euro and I only want to buy 1 board what happens to the rest of my money? This is the reply The discount is maximum for the amount of your order. The rest is lost. This just gets better I wondered about this but my emails & posting in the other thread never got a response. Oh, also cryptx is ignoring original order numbers (wtf) so really i have no idea why my data had to be shared with such a disreputable outfit.

If the previous conduct by "cryptx" didn't worry people, this for sure should. What a class act they are!

Burnin is a busy guy with everything that's going on. What I will say is don't assume they'll be only 1 distributor and also keep in mind that Burnin does appreciate all the small miners and knows to look out for their best interests.
Burnin will post eventually in here,so Now seriously stop hitting the F5 Key.
Do you have some info on this or are you just guessing? He is not just guessing. I'm intrigued as to this meaning. Would either of you pls elaborate a little more? You might not be able to tell us everything in public, but more detail would be greatly welcomed.

Let's just say that people should stay calm and carry on. Burnin is quite busy at the moment I'd guess. It bears mentioning again that burnin is not responsible for the price that cryptx demands for the boards. Direct all the fan mail at cryptx, not burnin.

I respect that but whatever happens will obviously deliver after corruptx has started dishing out its hashing power as well, making it less attractive :/ I'll keep calm & carry on mashing F5

Do you actually know this is true? I mean that would be fine if there were more suppliers, but cryptx appears to be exclusive... at least in that they have the database with my details, and money owed. I originally paid Burnin, not cryptx, but I now find myself at the mercy of a company I dont know, with prices significantly higher than expected.

As burnin let crpyx handle the sales knowing their were oudstanding things owed- he is DIRECTLY responsible for this price change. You dont let people down the supply chain fuck stuff up like this. I dont care if your welding things underwater, a captain needs to be at the head of his ship.

Burnin,
Have you received Batch 2 chips from Zefir?
Yesterday - late afternoon, production will resume on Monday. Has anyone from that batch received their burners yet? We are still waiting. It's difficult to see the posts by burnin about how busy he is working on bitfury and then to see from crypt that he is not handling batch2. So where does that leave the batch2 folks? We got an update last week from burnin that the chips were received. But we aren't getting regular updates or an ETA for completion and delivery. IMHO we all paid for for batch2 boards, batch2 chips have been sent and received as part of the agreement, so shouldn't we be given the priority as customers?
