Hello guys, To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now... I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now? I don't get it. Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?). The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue. An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease. Other issues: - security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...). I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks. For now, the.bitcoin is at its low point, so I suggest this is the best time to buy bitcoin so when the time it got back to its original value, you can have earnings at its best too |

Many people still buying BTC because they want easy money. I am one of those who wanted to earn profit from crypto. I also witness how it works that is why until now I'm dreaming bitcoin will suddenly pump up to fulfill my needs:)

Hmm that is really quite unfortunate on your side. The coin is reason why you are among this forum. So that alone should tell you why people still invest in bitcoin if only you can answer yourself why you are are in this forum. I am pretty sure that if you had much bitcoin as you anticipated, You would be praising bitcoin now. It has potential just that it requires some important modifications.

People still want to buy bitcoin because it's a long-term investment, they know that having bitcoin is give more profits even the price always changes time to time because it still has the highest exchange rate in the crypto world. Many people want to become a millionaire that's why they still invest their money in bitcoin even it's very risky.

I think BTC will have a great market in future. Some news around us at the end of this year BTC will become at 20000$. That is why more peoples are still trying to buy Bitcoin. Actually, at the current situation, more peoples are adding to do crypto business and also the bitcoins are limited. so there will be a circulation and whales are not going to sell btc. Because of that definitely, BTC price will grow up. my opinion is if you have extra money, buy some BTC and hodl at least 6 months.

It is simple because they knew that bitcoin is an opportunity to other and change their life like many others using bitcoins. They see that people are growing and accepting the improvements of technology so that's why they bought bitcoin they knew it is the future.

You can shift the emphasis from bitcoin to the more advanced crypto money Monero, Zcash and Dash, as well as the very promising cryptographic platforms Ethereum, EOS and various projects based on them. There are already quite a few of them.

I think it is because it is still popular but It is absolutely necessary to pay attention to Ethereum, which for the year of 2017 has risen in price by 5,000% - and has a crazy potential for further growth. The relatively new Bitcoin Cash crypto currency also shows good performance.

Different people have different preferences. Just like how some people prefer to use cash when dealing, some prefer debit card, some credit card and etc. Each method have their advantages and disadvantages, but people still use them. Same argument for bitcoins.
Moreover to this statement, Bitcoin is just like an oxygen that it is priceless to breath but it is very important for our lives and the relation to this is investing to Bitcoin can acquire for an average price and when you keep it for a longer time, the value of this are incredible that we need to survive our investments |

If it is not going to be used as a currency, that does not mean it is useless. It can be used for investment just like stocks.

Bitcoin will not sell everyone, otherwise it will not be able to earn money. And all of them. Bitcoin sells sold and sells if price increases. This way Bitcoin's infrastructure runs.

another factor why everyone chooses bitcoin because everyone sees from the rankings of coinmarketcap and botcoin can affect the price of crypto. fomo that makes everyone want to get bitcoin quickly and do not know the purpose of the existence of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Yes bitcoins is very profitable , the reason why there are a lot of people today who are still investing is because it was very profitable in the market, buying right now will make you earn more profit because the market price is low, volatility of the market will make you rich in this industry. |

Not only it is long term investment, people are using bitcoins to buy things and taking advantage over its price movement. Lets say it this way, I want to buy something which cost 7500$ but I have only 6700$. I will buy bitcoin, wait a week and buy that. Isn't that wonderful  |
