BLAKE2b does 12 rounds, and BLAKE2s does 10 rounds, against 16 and 14 respectively
for BLAKE. Based on the security analysis performed so far, and on reasonable assumptions
on future progress, it is unlikely that 16 and 14 rounds are meaningfully more secure than
12 and 10 rounds. Recall that the initial BLAKE submission [1] had 14 and 10 rounds,
respectively, and that the later increase [2] was motivated by the high speed of BLAKE.
This change gives a direct speed-up of about 25% and 29%, respectively, on long data.
Speed on short data also significantly improves.

i just have old laptop and not support mining, also i confused about the algo (the miner).

This: blake256-14-rnd is "BLAKE1"

Netko uses BLAKE2 (s).

It is not widespread in other crypto currencyes. Hard to find an offer for it at the moment. I know nicehash was asked to add it, but they said the market is to small for blake2s...

Whatever the difficulty and price end up, you are definitely better off mining a cpu friendly coin (cryptonight algo coins are the only viable I know of) and selling it to buy netko. I suppose tomorrow we 'll have the first coins hitting the exchange

Wow nice. Must be a great feeling to have coins from the first block  .

Not that we didnt/dont have a  contibution to mining but there was no way to match that 1.5 THs floating around .

Grega the ceo actually managed to hit one block in first 30 minutes but now all gear is pointed to pools. There was never any intention to have a monopoly on mining and we are super pleased that NETKO had such a great launch.

Again congrats on getting the first mature NETKO in existance.

I thought 300 blocks or so was maturation for mined blocks (maybe staking too). But if you just send from wallet to exchange it shouldn't take that long, right?

That would severely limit practical usage
