In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%

I always go for hold to get the benefits of the highest possible profit I can get with Bitcoin and can be considered as investment.  But if you are looking for day trading, it is always the incoming news and rumors being spread around as my indicator of selling or buying Bitcoin.   Timing is quite hard but it can be easier if we set range profit to trigger buying and selling Bitcoins.  So it depends on what is one person's ideal, i go around for at least 10% earnings.

it depends on the coin and it depends on the timing and it also depends on how much i have at stake.
if it is bitcoin we are talking about, i hold and even if i am trading and miss the selling target i never worry since it will be reached sooner or later.

but about altcoins i usually dump them as fast as i get the profit. for some coins it is 10% and for some of them it is 70% to 100% but if i see the rise is still going i can always buy back in one of the dips and get more profit. but i never wait around if i get the feeling that dump is nearing i will dump faster than anybody else can. and so far i have been successful to make profit.

Its really hard to tell on when it would be the exact time to buy or sell on which most traders do have problem on this even the most professional traders on the world this is the thing why trading is an unpredictable job because we dont know on when is the right time to sell or hold since we dont know whats the movement of the price but in my behavior i just setting up a particular price point where i do take my profits.

I usually analyze last some days. If it is a sudden increase, i would rather sell. But if it is gradually increasing, i will tend to hold.

many possibilities that could happen. in the trading world, anything can change very quickly. you should think about is a proper analysis.
for now I think it did hold more profitable. for some time to come will be a trend of increase in the price of bitcoin.

This. This was happened to me 2 days ago when XRP got pumped up until 7k satoshi and then huge dump. Actually when XRP reached 5k satoshi, i already profited enough, but i want more (yea, you can call this greedy) and wait, maybe it would be bounce back to 7k satoshi. But what happened? XRP keep falling down and i decided to sell my XRP at 5000 satoshi, but i'm still lucky because after that (until now) XRP never comeback to 5k satoshi again.
It's very difficult to predict when is the "highest" peak and decided to hold or sell.

This is prety much individual decision and depends on individual needs and point of view, the goals that you have. Personaly, I think there is no need to sell, unless you need funds but it would be profitable to hold long term and its always better to earn as much as you can. But every trader knows the best for itself.

I usually buy and sell in small quantized trades.
Instead of selling   1 BTC, if I'm making 10% profit I sell 0.5 BTC and wait. If it goes up again, at a certain threshold I sell again, let's say 0.25 BTC at +20%. Then all in at 50% or if there are some consistent falls, hinting to possible deeper drops.
It's a bit slow way of trading, but very safe.

most of the time i am waiting for the highest possible price, specially these days when i am trading altcoins and they get pumped a lot. but that highest possible price is not just a random number that i hope for i try to look at things and watch the charts, i am not yet good at it but i am learning and trying to get better and come up with the best price to dump and get out.

and when i wait i make sure i have a good reason for waiting because i don't like to be an altcoin bag holder.

It will need more analyzation, I remember, if I'm always trying to sell my bitcoin depends on the bitcoin news. But in conclusion, no one knows about the future of the chart. If you think you're on the good return for your investment and let sell them based on your analyzation and waiting for the red candle asap. But I would sell them all for 10% profit because the volatility aspect is a must in crypto trading.

Just hold them if the chart is not showing good support or high green candle and try to sell them for instantly if you were seeing about a little red candle.

It depends on your earning goals. My goal is to get financial freedom with bitcoin trading. I have set my mind to get highest possible reward with bitcoin trading and which is more than $ 2000. For this to happen I can wait until 2-3 years and I am going to do it. So for me when I realise Bitcoin price is falling then I pretty much go for buying more bitcoins and add it to my wallet. What this will do? It will create me vast margin for profit in coming future and I am firm on this decision that's why I never sell them

In your case you can do simple tricks to earn profit. It is not about 5% or 10% profit but it is all about PURE profit. Anything greater than your investment is your profit and also you can go for compounding if you want to earn more without loosing anything. With last option you just have to invest once and you can grow your earnings step by step. Here you will not have to worry about your percentage profit as you have already gained it and you are using your traded money only.
 So the right time is your gut feeling in short if you want that profit then just grab it or let it grow more by re-investing it

That's depends on your goal, which means how much percentage you want to reach from your capital.
You can research the market, research the trend and doing analyze first or you can follow a speculator as reference.

if altcoin trading not popular coin and with low volume transaction, hold longterm altcoin is not because
if not popular altcoin and low volume transaction after hard dump is never incraese price again

I dont have target exact interest profit When I see altcoin pump and I have it and I caculate if the profit is good I sell it if its I hold it. I do research also before I hold it or sell it because they have possible to increase the price or decrease. I have longterm I hold ether because I believe this is the next bitcoin so I can wait atleast 2-5 years. I also have Dash and litecoin for longterm.

You have a right perception in a long term investment. Usually, it takes years to harvest or sell your capital from your investment so that your investment is worth it to sell since it really makes a great profit. If we all bitcoin holders just hold for long term, expect that it could hit the highest point it can reach.

Every man has different strategy in trading. Long term holding always positive every holders. Surely there make a chance get good profit at the end.
