basically i go for hold. first rule to make profit is buy low sell high. Bitcoin trading needs a lot patience. Buy butcoin/altcoins when they are low and sell them when they are high. You can use many sites for trading altcoins. like you can buy any altcoin in yobit and check its price on other sites like cryptopia or any other. if the price there is high just transfer then and sell them. remember to calculate the profit along with transfer charge.

I would say that bitcoin is rather safe as a crypto, however everyday it gives us a chance to gain a profit out of the trades made in the correct time.

Altcoins are totally different world, it is more like a lottery or gambling for a coins that are really cheap comparing them to btc.
Moreover, many of them are made by devs just to get money from these coins and dump them later to cash out.

The case is different with more recognized, trusted coins with potential like monero, im sure it may also give really nice gains.

I so agree and disagree with you. I think this is not the right time to sell bitcoin that had you gather. I also feel that the potential bitcoin this year could reach $ 1500, or even higher than that price. I'm sure you will not regret it if hold it a little longer, because the price of bitcoin will actually go to the moon.

I so agree and disagree with you. I think this is not the right time to sell bitcoin that had you gather. I also feel that the potential bitcoin this year could reach $ 1500, or even higher than that price. So if you have the same feeling like above mate then why do you disagree? Everyone is holding their coins hoping to see the price of $1500 but I really doubt that we can see that price in this year and may be it will achieve that price in mid of next year.

That is the right strategy to follow especially when you are trading altcoins as you need to be very active in it and should have a close watch on the price movements but as far as bitcoin is concerned I will prefer to hold ti for some more months.

This. This was happened to me 2 days ago when XRP got pumped up until 7k satoshi and then huge dump. Actually when XRP reached 5k satoshi, i already profited enough, but i want more (yea, you can call this greedy) and wait, maybe it would be bounce back to 7k satoshi. But what happened? XRP keep falling down and i decided to sell my XRP at 5000 satoshi, but i'm still lucky because after that (until now) XRP never comeback to 5k satoshi again.
It's very difficult to predict when is the "highest" peak and decided to hold or sell.

There is no certain answer for every coin, for a new one and the most traded coins will be different.

Yes its better to sell them of when its giving you good profits instead of getting greedy and holding it for a long term as the price can fall dramatically in quick time and it will give you negative results so be satisfied with the amount of profits you have made.

You mean you want to hold altcoins four months ? I'm sorry to say it will be a wrong decision because you cannot be sure when altcoins will find their next rally.

Holding will be advised only in the case of bitcoin trading and for altcoins, like you stated, we need to be very active every day to find a right prices to book profits, holding may get you losses in most of the cases.

In my own experience holding coins for a couple of weeks or months is more profitable than rush selling in a high price, Im also holding some coins for years and when the price suddenly up you can take advantage from it, price monitoring is very important as well as status of each coins, updates like developments etc that affects price..

Yes its good to hold them for next couple of months and sell when price reaches to the highest point and for me the highest point is $1500 so will sell only when it reaches there or else will prefer to hold even longer.

Profitable way means the method is sure and you are sure of that big profit in few months but we don't know what will happen for that few months you are mentioning. The sentence must be, "hold your bitcoin and try to accumulate more while at the same time monitoring every trend that will passed".

It's good if sometimes we are selling before the "expected" sudden crash so that while making a hold again for another period, the profit is much higher compare to long time holding. We can do long time holding while making profit during price increase and decrease at the same time. Just needs some little bit of eagerness to make that possible.

Today in the morning I decided to sell bitcoins but due to some reasons I wasn't able to use my pc so I was worrying about that but suddenly when I came to home and see price of bitcoins, I was very happy because it was risen and I got good profit, I bought bitcoins for 1100$ and today I sold them for 1215$ and that's good. Yes You are right that the price of bitcoin is increasing now again but selling at $1500 is not a good suggestion as if the holders will hold for longer then it is the chance that the price of bitcoin increase more higher in value so till that time the price of it will double up and the holder will be millionaire.

Yes, keep track of a specific coin that you are holding. Any news that is related to the coin and every updates that they release. Be active on forums and social medias. Also, try to study charts because this one is really helpful for traders.

It is not like that, you cannot expect that dipping below 1000 USD is not possible.
We can see ongoing panic on the bitcoin market, the case is same with few altcoins. The times during panic are not best to predict what may happen, and what may not.

There is a possibility of hard-fork which may cause the price drop, but I rather assume it will make bitcoin stronger- after some time if BU will not adopt so well.
On the other hand, 2017 looks as a year of bitcoin- it is really good looking nowadays so I wouldn't be amazed if 2000$ per bitcoin would occure at the end of the year.

It's very easy to know if it is time to keep on holding, when you see the price doesn't move alone or stable at a certain price.

You already figured it out that the best thing to do is just o keep on holding. And for the right time of selling, you are the one figure it out.

Because when you have a certain range of price to sell, when you get satisfied with the price, then just sell it out.

But it's better just to be alert always monitor the price.
