So what other exchanges has TORcoin applied to be listed?
What advertisements are coming up shortly?
Are there any upcoming new features being added to the wallet?
What bounties are left?

Some hard questions for a coin new but this might encourage people to take another look knowing a roadmap. The features the coin already makes it stand out from the others.

The TorCoin, you have mentioned that the audience here on bitcointalk is small compared to other platforms or a target such as the Chinese. Is there a way TorCoin can reach out to these communities. I agree completely that this is a small platform and there are prominent markets that need to be looked into.

Are there people here who can help TorCoin with this? Translations are great, but to put them on Weibo or the like. I know the Chinese have platforms we have not heard of and millions of people use them.

The Russian market, Middle East and anyone looking for anonymity. Could the msging service be used on the smartphone when the Android/IOS app is made. Has anyone showed an interest dev and msg you?

Is there a MAC wallet coming? I personally like to use MAC for my crypto storage, altho I do also use Windows.

Why does coinmarketcap.com show a history longer than the coin? Do they have it mixed up with the old TorCoin that died?

Thanks....

All good questions!

Some answers:

1. MAC WALLET > I am willing to bounty 2000 Torcoin for a MAC wallet, or pay in BTC

2. ANDROID and IOS WALLET > Same as above, 2000 TorCoin bounty or pay in BTC

3. BOUNTIES > How does the community feel about bounties?!  I am willing to put up plenty of bounties for TorCoin development, but I'm worried that putting too much TorCoin into the open market through bounties would crash the price. What do you guys think?

4. COINMARKETCAP > As it states on the TorCoin site, there was an older Torcoin issued in 2014 but it was incomplete, buggy, and part of some Yale University CS project that failed.  The coin never did anything and was unsupported.  I contacted these Yale guys and got no reply before launching the new TorCoin.  The new TorCoin does not use the old TorCoin code at all. It is a completely new and different coin.  I have been in contact with CoinMarketCap to get them to de-list the old TorCoin and list the new one.

5. I agree with you we need Chinese translations. I will be working on it over next couple weeks

6. Advertising > There will be advertising for TorCoin over next couple of weeks. The coin is brand new and I have been busy with a million other projects, so haven't gotten around to ads for TorCoin yet, but it is indeed on the list!

7. We are in process of getting listed on YoBit and hopefully on Bittrex soon, and there is a new ShapeShift style exchange coming online soon that says they will also list it.

I welcome all questions, fire away.  Good to take a hard look at any new coin!

As for wallet features and such, pretty much anything can be done.

What do you guys want to see for TorCoin in the future?

In addition to getting listed on exchanges, the main thing I want to see is an ecosystem developed around TorCoin, which is especially a well-suited coin for anyone needing a coin for privacy ...

1. If thetorcoin is already a Millionaire and doesn't need money, why the premine? If he doesn't need the money and the 1,000,000 coins are going to stay in storage, why not just destroy those coins? Of course he cares about the money.

>> I didn't say I don't care about money.  But I have no incentive to dump TorCoin on the open market if it's worth $5 say, or $10 even.  maybe if it reaches $20 I'll cash out a hundred thousand TorCoin.  Or maybe not.  I'm personally more interested in the experiment than making a bunch of money, but making a bunch of money is also nice :-)

2. If kingcarsen is nothing but a dev, why hasn't "thetorcoin" fired him after all this bad press and scam accusations he's brought to the project? You both have the exact same speaking style and it seems that you are the same person.

Do you want to jump on the dev team?  I have no problem firing Carsen, and I don't think he would have any issue stepping aside, if someone else with top qualifications wants to step up to the plate. He already has 200k TorCoins, so I'm sure he's more concerned with the success of TorCoin than earning a few bucks doing development!  SO, BY ALL MEANS, I HAVE NO PROBLEM HIRING A NEW TORCOIN DEV in the future, or a group of devs.  Unfortunately most programmers are shmucks, so having a shitty programmer as a dev is MUCH, MUCH WORSE than having a good programmer who happens to have a questionable reputation.  In fact I don't see too much bad stuff about Carsen other than that he created some coins and cashed them out to quickly because he needed the money.

3. Why are kingcarsen and "thetorcoin" speaking in this thread is such an unprofessional manner? Do you guys not realize how terrible unprofessional this thread makes this coin look. Stop swearing and talking in such a sophomoric way.

I didn't realize this was a grammar class :-)

4. If kingcarsen dumped his share on 10 previous projects, of course he is going to dump his 200,000 coins as soon as the market seems high enough. And since thetorcoin is also kingcarsen, he will dump 1.2 million coins.

as I said before, I'm not Carsen.

5. It is also impossible to get the linux client working and the working windows client is not even running on tor. This project was obviously not ready to be released as it is still in pre-alpha stages.

My windows client seems to be running on Tor.  For the linux client you will have to ask Carsen

If you want to run Tor integration you need to checkout with the branch "tor" from the github. It is completed and working, you will need to compile either the Windows QT or Linux QT from this branch to have that feature, the current binaries are Version 1.0.0.0, the "tor" branch contains the updates and is version 1.1.0.0

thetorcoin is not me, it is my business partner for the hundredth time. Why would I create two accounts and come in this thread giving out my name again? That makes zero sense. Nice try trolling though.

A premine is a share of the coin, which we made, its only right that my partner has 1m of the 10% premine and that I have the other 200k, dumping off coins would be pointless, we have a much greater cause to see this coin to the moon than to dump off for a couple grand. If we had no premine and no share in Torcoin, then we really wouldn't have much motivation to make this a good coin as we wouldnt have any share in it. I have been very clear what I will do with my 200k and thetorcoin has made it clear what he will do with his. We aren't trying to scam a bunch of people and make it out with a couple grand, thats not the point, like my partner said, he is a multi-millionaire, he has plenty of money and has funded me to make this coin. Personally I have a good amount of money as well, I really dont need to do some random P&D, if I did I wouldnt have made a coin under my name. Feel free to go invest in one of thse "ICO" scams or a shitcoin that actually doesn't function and has a terrible name. lol.

thetorcoin hasen't fired me, because he knows I do the job right, he has done his research on me, I have a very good technical background and resume, my skilling has nothing to do with projects that I launched 4 years ago, if anything I have more experience than most crypto devs as I have experienced launches first hand and know what to expect. Torcoin is legit as they come.

The coins I made back in the day were almost 4 years ago, yea I did dump some premines, but only because I was dirt broke and poor and had no source of income at the time, but it was also a learning experience in general, feeling out the industry, seeing what failed and what didn't. If you look at those coins though, youll see they are actually still very much alive and some are still listed on Poloniex to this day. After making all those coins I moved onto working for GAW Miners in the crypto industry, only to be laid off, after that I moved onto working for Apple Inc. for the last two years, which I have now left and here I am. I have a lot more money than I did four years ago from saving and hard work, I am a lot less hungry to want to dump a premine, I would rather hold mine until its extremely valuable and then do some awesome giveaways and try to spread some wealth around, I personally may even setup a portion of my premine as a donation fund for the less fortunate.

Also regarding the cussing and unprofessionalism, well this is bitcointalk, there isn't much respect here in general, however I do think we should provide a much more professional mannerism.
We are just real people that don't beat around the bush, I would rather listen to someone speak about crypto and cuss here and there or call things out than to be absolutely professional/politically correct and be completely fake. I see this all too much in crypto and in the world in general.

I'll shout scam if the premine moves. Can u please post the premine addresses so we can check?

Good call.

Feel free to shout SCAM from the rooftops if the premine moves.

I will be using about 25-50k coins over the next year for promotion/staking exchanges/development, but the remaining 950k coins aren't going anywhere.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tor/address.dws?73.htm

I am already a Bitcoin and Ethereum multimillionaire, so I have no need to pump and dump my own coin.  I won't even consider selling ANY of my coins for profit until the price hits $20 per coin.  Go ahead and keep an eye on the genesis block ;-)

This is a zero balance, the coins already moved.

He moved them into cold storage wallets, if you check the block explorer further then you would see that, they are sitting neatly untouched. Cool

now this looks like a nice scam to me LOL

This looks like DIBBITS DIGGITS craps https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1107592.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1090982.0, bunch of fucks made and maintained by bittrex to improve the situation with volume. They have made five or six coins since then, and all of them looked identical and have been distributed in the same way.

Seems like 2013 was the year of the pump and dump for altcoins ..

these days, a good coin needs to be much better than that.  A good coin must:

1. Have a solid, active dev team

2. Have a good community of miners and adopters

3. Offer something that other cryptos do not offer (which is why Augur is doing well, Decred is doing well, Ethereum obviously, etc)

4. Build an ecosystem where the coin can be spent

5. Be listed on exchanges

6. Have a good, memorable, unique name

7. Be user friendly

8. Provide fast confirmation times

9. Provide scalability

10. Must be easy to mine and not encourage too much centralization (ie, POS or transition to POS)

We have most of these covered already!  hardest part is #4

note that PRICE ITSELF is not that relevant to the ultimate success of a coin.  Price goes up and down quite dramatically at first, and that's very natural.  I'm not worried about short-term price fluctuations and no one else should be either ..

hey folks, as I have said before price is NOT an indicator of the success or even quality of a coin ..

nonetheless it is still EXCITING to see TorCoin up 677% today!

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/torcoin-tor/
$0.671039 (677.83%)

I am much more interested in seeing an ecosystem develop around TorCoin than just watching the price go up and down .. I am offering a bounty of 2000 TOR for a MacOS wallet, 2000 TOR for an Android wallet

.. and I would suggest that one way to accumulate a lot of TOR would be to develop services which accept TorCoin .. innovation is key, folks

That volume is organic buy orders from other users. Market is going up, because well, not a lot of TOR is available. TOR really is only going to go up from here, once we get more services onboard with integration, sky is the limit.

The block explorer was updated today to reflect our new listing on CoinMarketCap.

Network is certainly climbing, looks like Torcoin is getting some recognition. Im glad that it went from 10 GH/sec to almost 150 GH/sec in a few blocks, the diff adjusted just fine, no problems here, Torcoin is solid Smiley

You may want to read the OP again, however Tor (Onion Routing) itself is integrated fully via the Tor C Library with Torcoin in the "tor" branch on the github. It has not been merged with the master branch yet as I want to get some more feedback on it.

Torcoin also has Stealth Addresses and Encrypted Messaging for more anonymity needs.

I am always open to suggestions on what to add next...

Network doesn't look healthy to me somebody must be attacking it trying to take advantage over miners and direct their rewards to a third party wallet or offline vault. I will investigate a case and tell u what has been discovered only if I get on board. Since I'm not in u should forget about getting an assistance from me. I will smell marijuana now.
