is there any info out there regarding running multiple static nodes from the same machine? I currently can't have more than one wallet running on my desktop at once...any insight on this?

Technically, you can run several wallets from the same PC. Why can't you run more than one wallet?

People are renting VPS's and buying Rasperypi or older and cheaper laptops to run the nodes.

I was getting port conflicts before. I suppose I could change the port that the wallet runs on in the data-dir config file?

You are talking about running parallel wallets... Multiple wallets from different coins is different than running multiple STaTiC wallets for XBY. We will be showing how to set this up after the 50.000 block. Right now we are only registering the STaTiC nodes and you can do as many as you want on your computer. There are not actually live at this point.

Wow guys, congratulations for the hard work you're doing!
I started trading only about one month ago and I noticed this coin when it was at 1 sat...every time I sold it I regretted it and I keep repeating the same error!  Cheesy
As I'm new in trading I've not the patience to wait after a big increase...I should've kept my 564000 XBY bought at 6 sats  Grin

Anyway good luck in continuing the job, I will surely re-buy after the next price correction.

I think this coin has a bright future, not only for the technical development but also for the story that's behind XtraBYtes...this will make the difference  Smiley

Seems promising, when will it be added to other exchanges?

I think soon it will be added to other good exchanges.Meanwhile Whoever wants to have XBY STaTic nodes.. Secure atleast 500K to 1 Million XBY.. Buy it when its  cheap Wink

So what is the earning for 1 static node? Other coins generate about 1-3%/month as far as I know.

We are not able to provide any info like that currently. It is impossible to say... We don't know how many STaTiCs will be set up and no other variables are available yet either.

Thank you!

Vote Starts at NOON GMT Tomorrow (provided we get an agreeable democratic system in place by then)

Full details will be announced when the voting mechanism is made available.

You will need to be on our Slack Channel to vote. So, if you are not there yet, use this link: https://young-basin-20186.herokuapp.com/

Here are the Top 5 Entries as chosen by Board Members:

All other entries had 3 or less votes from the available board members and there were 8 out of 10 present.

I thought we would have time to get this vote put together tonight but it was not possible.

Voting will start at NOON (or we will update the time) and we will decide how long to leave the vote open when we announce.

Remember, this is not an urgent matter and we want to give as many XtraBYtes Community Members as possible the opportunity to participate if they wish.

Thank you!!

Sweet!  I'm happy to be a part of the growing community.  I've been bogged down with work the last few days, so I missed an opportunity to enter in the contest.  But I will be casting my vote in the Slack.  I suggest people who are just learning about XBY to please read up on how this project was started.  Scroll through this thread.  Check out the website and videos.  Join the Slack and ask questions.  Meet the XtraBytes community members.  So many talented people have been lending their time and energy in getting this project off and running.  And this is only the beginning. Then, do some thinking and decide for yourself just what Proof of Signature can bring to the world of crypto.

I'll one shot you with the Wingman from the top of Skulltown - Apex

If I wanted to set up multiple nodes, do I need them to be separate IP addresses?  I was thinking about setting up a server with multiple logins and setting up a node in each login.

These are values you determine for yourself. Consider them as a username and password.

When trying to execute directive 1 from page 55 for implementation of a Static, I get this error message from the Debug Console:
Quote
23:03:32 Welcome to the xtrabytes RPC console. Use up and down arrows to navigate history, and Ctrl-L to clear screen.
23:11:10 dumpprivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
23:11:10 Error: Please enter the wallet passphrase with walletpassphrase first. (code -13)
23:12:04 dumpprivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
23:12:04 Error: Wallet is unlocked for staking only. (code -13)
What does it mean and how can I continue the directives ?
Thanks for your help

Sorry but I don't trust the voting for the logos, when I saw the bee one got 5 votes I smell changing your ip and voting multiple times for you own coin, and black when from 0 votes to 18 from the same guy....come on now. This is for the project not so somone can win a few coins.

I would prefer the team in charge would choose ,changing ip and multiple voting is easy anyone can do it.
